So i want to start a healthy diet but i have no idea where to start, what to eat, or drink, or anything. So im trying to get into the best shape that a can, and without a healthy diet i cant do that. I need some suggestions on what some things are that i can eat around the house, snacks and stuff that are healthy, im trying to cut out chips and coke and all that stuff. I need halthy snacks around the house. Also tips on dinners? Like is chicken, steak, and stuff like that ok? And what are some other good healthy dinners.I recently started drining ALOT of water, probably 6-8 bottles a day atleast. I also drink Odwalla. Ive told my mom that i want to go on a "health trip" but when she ask me what i want i tell her i dont know....because i dont know what to eat. So any tip would be great.PS. I know the basics like fruits and vegis etc....just need tips on things that are more "filling"

Try eating less carbohydrates from food like rice, pasta, flour and such. Try to eat more protein type of food and vegetable, protein and fibre will make one more filling.

Someone on this site, I thought it was you acually, recommended a book called "The G.I. Diet" and I fould it on Amazon.com for three bucks. I have it at home, I just haven't started it because I've NEVER watched what I eat. It's going to be hard drinking non fat milk when I enjoy drinking heavy cream for a snack. It will be a struggle and I'll probably never even start this diet, but there's a lot of good information in there. Diet is something I simply haven't been able to do, but then again I've never made a true effort

Starting a diet is alot harder than i thought, its a pretty drastic change to life, cutting out all the snacks and bad foods youve eaten for years is really hard, but i am going to make an effort to do it, because i know in the long run i will be a much healthier person.
