Hi Everyone!! I hope you're OK. Do I really look THAT horrible?!Or is it just a case of not having a DIGITAL face?! I don't think I'm a great looking guy - but I DO think that I look better - MUCH BETTER - in a regular photo than in a digital photo. In fact - I think I look horrible in digital. Am I kidding myself?! Do YOU look better - OR WORSE - in DIGITAL?!GREAT BIG HUGCraig!!

Do I really look THAT horrible?!
-
Hey Craig!I was just looking at your website and stumbled across your photos. I was actually just thinking how I thought you were a handsome man.So from my perspective you look just fine
-
Quote:Do YOU look better - OR WORSE - in DIGITAL?! i think film is more clear than digital. i think detail and stuff is lost a lot with digital camera SPECIALLY speed / action pictures. alot of it has to do with who is taking the picture. (professionals included) ..and the bad side of film is when i scan the pictures they scan bad... they have like a grindy look to them. Quote:Do I really look THAT horrible?! No. Quote:Am I kidding myself?! < ur being hard on ur self... i feel funny saying it tho cuz i do the same thing.
-
i dont think you look bad, but i look like shit either way though it is worse in digital
-
That's a hard question, since I try not to overanylize my looks. One thing I've learned, though, is that I'm much more handsome in low light.
-
Depends I think really. If you spend 200 dollars on a regular camra and 50 dollars on a digital.. odds are the regular is gunna come out better. If you spend 500 dollars on digital then odds are digital is going to come out better. While I do notice a certain "reduction" in quality of digital I still prefer digital I got a digital camra for graduation. And well it depends on the shot. I think there is more of an "art" to taking camra's with a digital camra. Where as with a regular camra I find its more "point and shoot" with the digital I find I have to get it "just right"I'm not a big camra guy I've probably used them 4 in the last 19 years. I just really enjoy my digital camra xD.
-
oops guess I forgot to answer the other question... I actually think I look better in digital than I do film.
-
I think graininess enhances my looks in a picture, and it's even better if I'm a long way from the camera. Further improvements occur from shooting against the light, and standing with my back to the camera.

A girl I met a few weeks ago took a picture of me and ran it through some filter in Photoshop. I don't know exactly what she did to it but it worked, its scoring an 8.9 on HotOrNot.com!
-
I need that filter!
-
I have a great filter that carefully removes all spots and scars and blemishes from your face. Then it removes your face entirely and replaces it with Brad Pitt's.
-
I need this in real time XD
-
Hey hon! It's great to see you on the boards more often!! You're being very hard on yourself, you're very handsome in my personal opinion (and I really mean that too).I'm not a picture person... I think I look 'ok' in them, just not that great (of course, who really ever thinks they look good in pics?!)
-
Wow, not at all dog.

Hi Everyone!! Thank you - ALL OF YOU - for taking the time to respond. I appreciate the compliments - re: my photos. But the photos I was referring to no one has seen!! lol You know something? I had a 'best friend' in high school. I loved him more than life itself and thought that he was very handsome. He's been out of my life now for years - having gotten married, etc. And NOW when I see a picture of him - he wasn't really all that handsome after all. lol Why am I saying this? [Other than to amuse you?! lol] Well... beauty - I suppose - really is in the eye of the beholder. IF you love someone - like I loved my best friend - they LOOK better!! So I suppose - it would stand to reason that IF I loved myself - I'd probably think I look good too - even in photos. Hmmm.... maybe I'm smarter than I think!! lol GREAT BIG HUGCraig!! PS I still - however - think that I have a face that requires the graininess of a non-digital photo!!
-
Hon i have to say you have a fantastic smile and you're a handsome guy, you have a kind face don't be so hard on yourself hon, if the digital pics make you look worse than you do in real life then RAWR i don't take good pics ever either, some people do some don't hugs

I like wut u said about beauty being in the eye of the beholder. It’s true in so many ways even nothing to do with photos. With all the fuss about EMO lately they pop into mind.. I’ve seen a lot of people downing them but then there are people that are attracted to them. I say the same with animal breeds. It’s all wut the person thinks / likes. I kinda feel the same as u do. I have two ..I dk views. It’s like a constant battle. Between wut I actually feel about me and wut I have been told growing up. And even now wut I was told growing up still happens so I know she wasn’t lying about that. But I just can’t .."get it". it’s like people say ur this and this.. But u just don’t feel it.

i have a $320 film camera
and a $250 digital
i cant tell much difference between them
i just hate film cause its too much of a hassle
