Ok. I'm probably just paranoid. However, today on myspace someone messaged me "she told me what happened, I feel your pain" And sent me a friend request. I added her and checked her myspace. Its pretty much blank except for 3 other friends.. One of which is my ex girlfriend who quit talking to me without giving any real reasons.. could just be her psychologist advising her.. I can't say.still.. I feel a little wierded out.. 0.o think i have reason to be wierded out or what?
-
Little creeped out.
-
Usually I would agree. however, I have a number of friends that don't use email and only use myspace.
Note: these are friends in real life that I don't see much not random people I don't know that I am trying to pretend I'm friends with.
*Edit. I no longer have any associate with my ex threw myspace or any other way.
-
thats y u shouldnt add ppl or accept friend request of people that you dont know be careful so u might wanna delete that person as a friend
-
Meh Nothing of major interest is on my myspace.
I have some personal thoughts on various random topics but, anything on myspace you read about me you would probably figure out after about 5 minutes of conversation with me.
*edit however, my real name isn't on there no contact information is on there no addresses or even pictures of me.
I can't say why but, I guess I just find it wierd my ex is even talking about me to people I've never met or something..
-
Well, this first situation seems like it could be the possible first of many, but the whole myspace thing is really subtle, so yeah, I guess you'd be doing the right thing if you just got away from it and deleted the myspace or something. Although, like you, I do find it weird. Why would someone you don't even know request you as a friend on myspace who's all, "I feel your pain"? Even if this person was a noob to myspace, no one does that to anyone, do they?
-
Well it makes it confusing because the person has 4 friends. Me. My ex. tom (who is put there automatically) and one other person I don't know. All I can assume is that she is talking about my Ex.I mean It could be my ex just trying to view my profile.. But, why would she want to do that? I mean she deleted me from her friends list and said she was the one who had so many "issues" that she didn't want me to be a part of her life because it would just add to the stress.Really rather weird. Its not like we broke up on bad terms... Really weird terms yes.. but, its not like we hate eachother...I mean I don't understand why her friend now suddenly wants to be friends with me. It means my ex has told her friend about me.. so I dunno. I'm at a loss for words. I am sorta curious to see where this goes.If my ex wants me back or soemthing she better hurry. College starts soon and I intend to actively date in college as much as possible >.<
-
Have you not messaged this person back asking what the hell they're talking about?
-
Yes. that was the first thing I did.I messaged asking "Do I know you?" They haven't been online since.
-
Why did you accept them if you had no clue who they were?
-
Because unlike email you can't get a virus by opening a message. At least not unless you click on a link.As to adding her. I wouldn't say its common for my friends to make new myspaces however, I have had old friends create a second account for whatever reason. Its not like there is anything of major interest on my myspace. No pics, no dirty little secrets. I sometimes write my thoughts in a blog but, those aren't excately secret.
-
Well, her friend could know you're her ex by many reasons. It could be just a thing she asks or that just came up in a conversation about that person's relationships or past or whatever. I wouldn't be too concerned, unless REAL weird things start happening. It's best not to assume anything if you don't really know anything for sure, y'know?
-
Yes I am not worried to the point of I am carrying a blade. (I do taht all the time anyway gotta find a new weapon since college doesn't allow weapons.) Nor do I think she might come after me or anything like that. However, I just wanted to make sure I was the only one whom couldn't make much sense out of this. Sometimes the A2A board has a way of giving different views or at least confirming that I am or am not over analyzing something.
-
what the hell college won't let you carry a pocket knife? we have 25,000 ppl on campus every day and most of them carry a blade. We just can't whip it out in the residential buildings.
-
I asked the orientation leaders they said "no knives or box cutters are allowed" I might ask the police on campus about it.
-
I would. It doesn't seem right that they would try to take away your right to defend yourself. The frat parties will make everyone leave their knives (and any other weapons) with a worker at the door- that way, no drunken knife fights.
-
well carry one anyway, i had a pocketknife in my backpack all the timetell them you go camping a lot and use the same backpackthat worked for me hahaha
-
We have on campus police. Shrugs.I will have to check and see how the rules work at my school. However, since they are actual police they probably need a warrent to search me or at leason reason for suspicion.
-
yeah, we have our own police department on campus too, but the cops seems to spend all their time on traffic violations.
-
thats all they ever do hahai cant stand cops one pulled me over because he THOUGHT my lisense plate light was flickering.i had JUST gotten my permit too.i was so scaredand then he was likeyou were drivin fine son but that light was flickeringso we got out and looked at itit was fine.finally another cop drove up, an older one, and was all like what the hell are you doing let them gohahaha
-
lol. Yeah.. THey make money when you pay tickets =/
