If you think a few cans of soda in your diet isn't a big deal, it won't matter much.July 18th holding in guthttp://img101.imageshack.us/my.php?image=july18thholdingingutez5.jpgI quit Soda 3 days later due to it making me thirsty, and not doing a good job keeping me from getting heat strokes unlike water.(Btw the blanket thing held up, if you're curious, those are cig stains where my brother would wrap up in it to smoke outside in the winter. the damn things never came out.August 22 holding in guthttp://img168.imageshack.us/my.php?image=august22holdingingutwo2.jpgThis is me holding in my gut same way I did the first time.August 22 not holding in guthttp://img168.imageshack.us/my.php?image=august22notholdinggutinxc7.jpgThis is me with my gut flopped out. no sucking in.I drank 4 sodas a day, I know most probably don't drink that much. But I know some people who drink a pack of soda a day. These pics are from me simply giving up soda. nothing new in my diet or workout plan.

When I used to live at home and soda was basically free, I drank around 8-10 cans a day. For about 5 years, every day.Your point?

I think the thread starter is trying to bring across the message that Soda might get one fat with those sugar it contains?Basically, after viewing the pictures, I saw the difference, therefore, I concluded about the cutting on Soda = cutting down on more or less more sugar intake.

A can of Coke has 30g of sugar in it, thats about 10% of a can of coke being sugar, personally thats a scary thought. This thread obviously shows that cutting down/out can make a massive difference, in this day and age being aware of ur wellbeing is part of life, noone says you cant enjoy the finer things in life as long as it isnt to excess!

I sorta forget to mention that I've been skinny my entire life. My point was basically that while I'm sure drinking less soda does help out, it also depends on your body (metabolism). I have a fast metabolism, so I don't gain weight by drinking a lot of soda.

I convinced my former roommate to quit drinking soda. He drank only water for 3 months and lost 30 pounds. He went back to drinking some soda, but not nearly the same amount he was drinking.I personally stick to decaf green tea sweetened with honey. Yum.

yes but there's probably 1000's of people who are overweight from soda. by cutting down from my 4cans a day to almost nothing. I cut probably 20400 calories off in just a month. And hell I know my gf drinks at least 4 cans of soda a day along with 4-6 cups of iced lemon tea mix. So if she cut off the lemon tea and soda and just drank water thats. -36800 calories a month. That's around 10 pounds a month. just from Dropping Soda, and extensive amount of lemon tea. by that month though your body would probably readjust and only burn like 4 pounds the next month. But anyways.10 pounds in a month by drinking water is quite easy.

And hell I know my gf.....10 pounds in a month by drinking water is quite easy.sighYou don't give up, do you? I hate to say it, but your gf is going to stay overweight. It's quite obvious she won't ever have the urge to be thinner even though she says she wants too.I want a million dollars, but I'm never going to get it unless I put myself through a whole bunch of shit I don't want to do.You keep trying to find all these different awys yout hink will help her lose weight, WHY DOES SHE JUST NOT GO TO THE FREAKING GYM?But whatever makes you happy

See the thing is you're much more likely to encourage someone to stay over weight. I lost probably around 10 pounds not drinking soda. The calorie intake doesn't lie.that's 36800 calories that she'd no longer be taking.Yeah you're right, she won't lose anything if she doesn't try but OMG wow, guess what, you don't really know if she'll try it or not.I mean seriously, a lazy person won't want to do exercise anyway. but if someone knows they can lose 10 pounds by just drinking water, if they do want to lose weight, they'll much more likely do that then anything else.Remember man, I was quite a bit over weight and I didn't want to do shit either. I was basically stuck into working out for a week because of my brother and after that I built up the stamina and it actually became kind of relaxing, but before then I wouldn't do it.Trust me, you need a push regardless of (I want to)
