Oh, well, in my opinion, it makes sense. You only burn about 130 calories running a 10 minute mile, and what overweight person can run multiple miles at that pace? And I personally am famished after running, so it oddly rings true to me.

Im overweight, and can easily burn ~1250 calories per hour on an elliptical. Weight lifting is what... 500-600 calories an hour max? No thanks.

You fail to realize that the true burning of calories doesn't happen during the exercise, but after it. Per pound of muscle, your resting metabolism burns 36 more calories a day.

What I was saying is if you have two guys who are the same size;
You make one run for an hour a day, but continue eating shit.
Where as the other does no cardio but goes on a very clean, restricted diet.
The guy on the diet will drop the pounds 10x quicker than the cardio man.
