If you had a chance to perform at one of your favorite movie's convention, in my case Pirates of the Caribbean, or at an acknowledgement and honorary ceremony for producers and directors which would you choose?
-
Which would you choose?
-
perform? like dance? i would think the acknowledgement and honorary ceremony for producers and directors would mean more than a convetion for a movie. well i;d pick the ceremony to honour producers and directors. isn;t all the hype over Pirates of the Caribbean doen with?
-
Don't know what I could possibly perform, but maybe... Sunshine. I kind of liked that movie. Maybe Cellular. Eh... I don't know. :T
-
lol I didn't mean the movie just the choicecaleb, the hype isn't what it used to be but my dance team and I are huge Pirates of the Caribbean fans (Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, be real!) lol and one of my partner's told us about this convention they're having in Louisiana next year and we are all like, "yay that's so cool" and we were going to go. And then we checked the website and one of the workers said if anybody wanted to volunteer or anything and one of the girls in my team had an idea for us to perform our dance series that we made up to the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack for the second and third movie (It's unbelievably great, I play Captain Jack Sparrow lol) and so we just got in contact with the lady just to give a suggestion and she told us to send a tape of us doing the performance and she said she was "amazed it was even possible" and said it would be great if we could do it as a little nice surprise for all the other fans going. And so we got all excited about it since we could dress up and meet the cast etc etc. But then we forgot my sister had booked us to perform at the honorary thing she has to work at. And I didn't think it'd be a problem but it's in the same week as the convention.... how ironic. I don't want to say no to my sis and plus I like performing for these experienced hard-working artists but then again... I like pirates...lol. I don't know what to do, and it's divided my team up and everyone's looking at me to make the decision. I'm the youngest one of the group! but whatever. and the more I think about it, the convention would be more care-free and fun and acting stupid dressing up like a pirate. and the ceremony is all sophisticated and I have to wear a stupid dress and smile all the time and talk to people who make me feel so stupid with their genious lol. I'm not complaining but... yeah.
-
In Louisiana...lmao.. that's next door to me. (well state wise.......lol)
wut could the possable benifits be for performing at them both. (not both).. like benifit to preform at the convetion over the other and the same if u chose the other instead of the convertion...have i made u confused?? i am lol
convetion does sound it be more fun.
but at the convetion it's just fun and for fans..(right?) -
lucky! I have to take a plane (if I go)... which is not that bad but still.
-
Oh... lol. Sorry.Um. I can't really perform anything I'm not a stage person.
-
U know I was thinking (oh poo stains! Caleb was thinking.. every one run!) if ur not going to get anything out of the honorary ceremony why not just go to the fun one.. This is how I’m looking at it. If nothing is going to come of the performance (at either of them) why go be bored when u can go have fun… I have a question tho. Why Can’t the group do both of them? You said there in the same week.. But are they close to the same day? Could it be possible to do both? Or is there money issues and/or scheduling conflicts that keep sur group from performing at both?
-
I don't mind going to the cermony thing. We get to meet alot of talented people. Last time we met this guy named David Cronenberg and the way his mind works is unreal. I'm going to see one of his movies tomorrow. Some guy named Ang Lee, and a woman named Betty Thomas. There was more but those are the main three I remember because they were really nice. I don't think money may be an issue... I hope not. Because the workers said they'd pay for any expenses for the ceremony. The convention we have to pay ourselves. All that I know of is that it's the same week. The convention is more than one day and I think goes into the weekend or something I don't know about the ceremony though. They're so secretive and everything because they don't want to deal with paparazzi or deal with the public or whatever that woman was saying. But they don't seem to have all their facts.

I would choose your sister's event, being that you already made plans with her and also, it's family.
-
Bobby
-
Yes?
-
I saw that movie Bobby! It was so good and I cried.I figure I should go to my sister's thing... but I always do there's nothing wrong with that I just wouldn't mind switching it up. Plus, if there is a chance OB and JD are going to be at that thing I highly doubt I'll pass up that chance lol jk jk... or am I?
-
yes but that wouldnt speak much for your character, its not necessarily about your sister, so much as you promised to be there, how do you think she'd feel if you ditched on her just to possibly see some celebrities at a convention? its one thing if its going to be a great oppurtunity opening up all sorts of doors for you but as far as youve said it isnt, so when ya look at it comes down to, go to a convention maybe meet some celebrities then poof theyre gone out of your life, but your sisters still there
-
actually I never promised my sister anything. she just put it out there so I didn't really have a choice. and, I always perform where my sister works simply for the fact that they need a spot filled to go along with the theme or we are requested by the big boss or one of the attendees. This wasn't a request, we are spot fillers lol but with good reasons. And I was only kidding, what kind of person would I be ditching my sister for two very hott human beings. Puleeze I already have the hottest one out there MUAHAHAHA! lol sorry lost it for a minute there but no, only if she said I could go then I would. But if she needs me then I won't. I haven't talked to her about it yet since she's been kinda busy with some video thingy majigger and I've been busy with school and work and such but I still have a year kinda.
-
ooo ok i gotcha, in that case you should ask her and if she says go then go
-
lol the best one I did according to theme was The Nativity Story. We did a dance to "Mary Did You Know" it was awesome lol. I remember having to play Mary and having to do this RIDICULOUS set of long/high leaps and then doing some outrageous spin into a split. Ohhhhhh buddy, I remember practicing for that thing like a gazzillion times. But I also liked Honey but that was basically nothing but competition so I didn't like it too much.
