Our family split up for vacation time, my youngest, my man, and I went to my father's. My oldest went to a friends, and the boy went to his mothers. We all got home, with tummy aches, and the wonderful, green apple quick steps, everyone, that is besides the boy, he eats the crap his mom cooks on a regular basis.Since we were all at different places, I am trying to add this up. We've had a really healthy diet going for a few months now, everyone is used to that, I am wondering, if all the extra sugar, eating out, and grocery store "fast food" could cause all the trouble. My man was even feverish yesterday with his. The first few days at my father's we were eating good home cooked stuff, but over the weekend, my father decided to be nice and take us out. IDK..just seems odd that we can't handle junk anymore.

Different diet for the week...

looks at feet You're right. My father doesn't have salad though. At one restaurant we ordered the salad bar. Where my oldest stayed, the diabetic who eats the cheesecake, was serving meals. Sooo....you can imagine.

a fever is te result of an infection and the body combating it. I can see shit food upseting your systema bit, but not giving you a fever. it is flu season, maybe he hada touch of it and not a full blown case?

True that. I just wonder if he was more sensitive to what ever was going haywire, couldn't the screwed up bacteria in his gut gotten out of hand for a day or 2 and caused the fever? Just a thought...My instinct is that he was fighting something else as well as the upset the rest of us had.

Taking Chance's suggestion and running with it further, I'd suggest as a possibility that perhaps you all (except the boy) picked up a bug together before you split up, a bug that took some time to develop into symptoms. On that hypothesis, the different diet was just coincidence.

A very real possibility! I just don't think I want to go eating crap again to find out...lol
I remembered a vegetarian on here who said she gets sick eating meat now, thought maybe it was a similar thing.
