I read articles talking about computer and tv radiation hazards... i was wondering if putting a magnet on a computer or tv would reduce exposure

TV, computer radiation
-
No, and it will distort the colours on the monitor (unless it's a flat-screen one).
-
i have some special thing installed over my monitor
-
And what is that thing you installed? Cause I have a computer in my room.. for around 6 years.. never installed anything to protect it :S
-
They are called Anti-Glare Radiation filters. Here's a sample:Computer Monitor Filter

I'd guess the only thing to worry about is computer screens, cause we tend to sit a lot closer to those than TV's. Just get a flat-screen monitor(regular size vacuum tube but the screen is perfectly flat, gets rid of glare etc), or an LCD screen, and there's nothing to worry about I don't think.

What appalling unprofessionalism from the teacher.
