I like to keep things well groomed down there, but I keep encountering a lot of irritating problems. For one, when I shave the base of my penis I seem to get a lot of minor ingrown hairs. They strike a few days after shaving and form zit like red bumps, they are very unattractive. How should I alleviate the problem of ingrown hairs?

Have you tried shaving against the grain?Try shaving down instead of up.

Hey Aalodar! Welcome back!

Thanks Ineligible, glad to be back.
-
Against the grain huh? You mean shave down towards my feet?
-
Thats what I usually do and I still get ingrown hairs.

well what do you use to shave?...razor and shaving cream?..do you trim it first or just start weedwacking the jungle when it's fully grown?....trim it then shave it.that's what I do...and yes I do get rzorbumps or ingrown hairs..but thats' becasue I forget to shange the blade.I always shave base and balls with a new blade..but I shave in the shower which the hot water helps me out alot.try putting aftershave afterwards as well..might sound silly..but will help the skin irritation...products I use are Aveno shaving cream and Gillette Mach3 razor..and put lotion afterwards....see if that helps.

I found that if I shave down (as opposed to against the weed) I’ll end up with stubble, but it’ll be also a lot less likely to result in ingrown hairs and related issues. Tradeoff: not so smooth
