Fevero
-
Yes. That's dangerous.

You should seek medical attention ASAP. Maybe a call to your doctor first to see if he can see you immediately or advice you, but don't wait around on him. I've heard it's around 105 or 106 that a fever begins to break down proteins and damage the body.In the mean time, if you have any on hand, take a fever reducing drug, that is safe for you to take, like Tylenol, to try and get your fever under control before you can be seen by a medical professional.

As the others have said, you need to see the doctor ASAP and you need to know down that temp NOW. Best way, as was said is to get into a tub of cool water. Rubbing down your body with rubbing(isopropyl) alcohol helps too.

wtf is he doing on the computer? =/
-
well, he posted hours ago, and isn't here anymore...Hopefully he got some sort of care.A fever that high is dangerous. We will watch for an update.
-
I meant "what is he doing at the computer posting at all"
-
Probably because he didn't realize how dangerous a fever that high is.
-
He got on to ask whether he should go to the hospital.

Nevermind guys, sorry I posted in this thread

sorry havnt posted. i was home alone and i knew i had a bad fever (went about 3 days with 103) and shivered hardcore so after an hour got out of my bed and found the thermometer and freaked so wrote a message. i had a buddy come over who stuck me in a cold bathtub and i passed out in it so he had to get another buddy over to carry me to bed. i halucinated/had lucid dreams for the next 32 hoursish till my parents came home (my friends stayed at my house to keep an eye on me and drank all my beers)by then it was done to 102. now its done to 100 but i can act and do stuff so i think im ok. thx for the advice...i posted it then forgot that i had and was asleep.

Though I think it would have been better if the friends had taken him to a doctor or hospital. Anyway, it seems over the worst now.

I had 105+ once when I was about 12. I also halucinated. But 105 is dangerous especially if you are older. You should have seen a doctor.
