Auto companies use computers in their design but most drawing programs are freehand (not for actually blueprint/design). Any sort of graphic art experience/schooling. I know that you need to have a hefty set of samples but I am not sure as far as degrees.

thanks!it's not something i could do now or after i graduate (no time soon lol) but maybe something in the future... i was jsut wondering if it had it's own thing or if it ..i dk. it be fucking sick to do motorcycle or dirt bike (or car) graphics.

and what is to stop you but yourself?Start drawing, practice, practice.I have faith, you can do it! I have done nothing but tinker in electronics and now I work with them and I am waiting a promotion to a higher position. If your work is what you love then you will never work another day in your life!

something like drawing is something that can be acquired so saying that you either have it or don't I would say is not correct. I do agree with visiting a local shop and asking. Contact a trade school that specializes in that or a university and they can give some information as well. Get both sides of the story.

lol perhaps you are a lost cause You can do anything if you put your mind to it. Talent or not. Talent just helps you learn/use that particular activity faster than others.

what I do? lol it is just a lot of tech knowledge. Just read and be eager and you have what I do lol

You mean drawing cars, or actually painting them?
In Australia the latter is a trade, and you need to do an apprenticeship.

oh shit! I want a custumised bike guitar!!! but yea that's what i was talking about. Quote: You mean drawing cars, or actually painting them?painting on them

well if you lived anywhere near me, I'd tell you to get buddy buddy with my art teacher. her husband owns a motorcycle shop and paints and builds his own bikes... they've had a student paint a bike for them before. I can't remember what they did with that bike, but it was in some kind of stunt show or something. Then again, that student's dad owns a car garage and body shop too... so he gets in time there. So if you were to look for interning to get experience, Joaquin, Tx would be a great place to choose.

I know WyoTech has a body work program that includes a lot of painting techniques and what not but I don't think it really teaches you in the creativity and design aspect. Universal Technical Institute has a similar program but none of it specifically focuses on painting for the entire course. But you really can't just paint a vehicle if it isn't prepped right so it might be better to get the whole body repair program. I know these schools offer motorcycle programs but I don't know about motorcycle painting. I can't imagine that there is really any difference between the two.

i have no problums with the creativity, design aspect or drawing ability. i just was wondering IF after college i decided MAYBE to do that (cuz i think it be pretty cool) how to go about it. and i sure didn't want to get out of college just to find out i got ot go back if i wanted to do this. lol u know... so i was wondering if there was a class maybe i could take and see if it;s a road i want to take. i'm still just kinda wondering wut i'm going to do with a art degree. i tossed around tattooing but i dk if i could give a screaming girl a tattoo... i just wouldn't have the heart to hurt her.
