Yahoo have a bad reputation for deleting groups just because someone complains. The owner, who has put a lot of work and emotional energy into a group, doesn't get consulted, but just suddenly finds the whole thing has disappeared without warning. It's a rude way for them to operate, but since it's a free service there's nothing much you can do.

Yes, thanks. I don't wanna deal with jerks and it wasn't a so-called "sex-site", it was a fan-fic group. Like a funtime-family, too. For some reason the whole "we were hacked" isn't getting through to some people. An employee who works at a UNIX firm (or whatever that is, had a friend who headed up the groups dept. at yahoo...and he had access (read: UNAUTHORIZED access) into yahoo's server. Gleefully deleting groups that he felt was "ungodly". That is why there "is" a lawsuit. A company can be held responsible for that kind of malicious and deliberate thing. And yes, it happens alot more than people know. This is just one example...so to the person who said he was glad yahoo dumped it...again I see someone else putting their foot in their mouth. I wanted to talk about the heartache it's caused but I can see right now that this is not a forum to discuss injustices on the gay community. Or to talk about anything that's going on in my experiences or life. Have a good night and peace out.Goodbye.

This site/forum was created for the freedom of speech that people can come somewhere and discuss general health related problems without fear of persecution. Not of advertisements of other sites or to disagree with other service providers.Whilst the community forum is meant for general chitchat amongst members, I do not find any just reason why your “petition” as an outside link should be here. There are plenty of other “groups” out there which you can join other than Yahoo, why not join one of them and carry on letting Yahoo do as they please, as the less people they would have would surly be better?
