Binary is a code of 1's and 0's that make up the data that you see on your computer. if you push any button, a binary code is sent to the mainframe and produces a symbol (letters, numbers, grammatical punctuations, smilies, anything). My college English teacher used to teach 8th grade math and had the kids figure it out... she's insane.
