yeah yeah I know, I was talkign to my dad in washington in teh pugent sound yesterday, and watchign that storm on teh satellites.. Im about to get fuckign more of hte same and its been raining for 4 days at his house. I can deal with snow if I must, and rain, and days of 100+ temps I actually love, but that fucking wind, christ oh shit oh dear, thast the one that gets to me, you can hear it in your head nad outside and it blowing my hair around and stealing my smokes so I get 1 ro 2 drags instead ofa whole smoke, not to mention my long hair being burned from landing on the cherry, I could actually see myself suckign the barrel of a gun to escape the wind if its goes on too long and too strong.

Dremmels and chainsaws
-
Well, if it is any consolation, the wind isn't as bad with this one, but all damage considered, it might be worse. I am still watching a small tree trying to topple in this "breeze".Only looking at 40mph here as opposed to 75+. Just the ground is so wet already.
-
thats what killed us here.we had about 2 feet of snow piled and pushed all over, it warmed up to 40 by 6 am friday and the high 40s by that afternoonwith a fucking hot wind and it melted it all, soaked the ground, overfilled storm drains and cleared all teh snow from all but teh north side of buildings and even that was melted by half. Thawed the ground out for a few inches and then teh gusts that were upto 101 according to local news along with constand winds that were around 60 to 75 mph.... then a heavy heavy wet snow right on its ass. between teh wind blowing shit down and the storms that followed it took out shit that woudl of made it had the storms of snow not followed. fuckign Joy, I can hardly wait for some more of the same shit! see if I can finish my week off busting my ass cuting more trees and replacing more windows and siding wafuckinghooooo!
-
Send some of that wood my way..lolI kinda hope this little tree takes a digger...sounds bad, but it would be great green wood for a night fire. It wouldn't cause any damage on it's way over, but its hardwood, so, I could drop it on the fire at 9pm and not have to stoke again till 9am...I got SO spoiled with the wood stove my dad built...I could leave for 36 hrs, and come home to a good bed of coals. This little POS only goes about 10 if I am lucky.
-
Damn Chance! Come on down to Tulsa you could be making a fortune right now. I heard an estimate that a quarter of all trees are going to have to come down after last months ice storm and that at the current rate they aren't going to finish getting cleaned up until sometime this summer. Not to mention all the damaged houses and businesses. It was 76 yesterday, of course we ended the day with tornadoes.

whats it take og et a business license in OK? I have no problem working 7 days a week for overa year, Iv done it before jsut because Im greedy and that time and ahalf... an 70+ hour week is nothign new to me, I can bring the trailer, teh truck, 3 chain saws.... buy a log splitter and haul the wood to norhtern california to sell to pepsi.Fuck tornados, Im all about cash.
-
Its been unseasonably warm in Ohio as well.. been in the 60's the last couple days. Not complaining too much, though I am getting spoiled with the warm weather lol
-
Well shit! I'm better off hauling MY trailer to AR if your planning a haul to me from OK!!!
I get a cord of hardwood for a buck and a quarter, and I get as much soft (fir) as I can haul for free. Just all of it is seasoned!
Edit, No alaska for me..lol

Look, Im always looking for an excuse to head to cali!and Redding I could come smoke a bowl on your porch and lay on teh ground laughing like a little girl for an hour (its entertainment for you as well as me!) and then hit my buddies that live in Redding, Marc, Joe, Doc, Larry, the whole gang! Hell Id even introduce ya to them if I were there, great guys to run with, I miss hunting with them each october since they started heading to alaska instead of utah. Do not take away my excuse to hit cali! after that a nice trip south to san diego and TJ! Julies never been to imperial beach, or to see the golden gate bridge in frisco, the coranad on san diego and sea port village, and china town in frisco! and the wonders and dangers of TJ in mexico, and all that warm!
-
I don't know about a business license but a guy in my office just paid some boys $3500 to get a split tree taken out of his back yard and hauled off. I assume it must have been huge. He says it wasn't and that he didn't want to just wait 'till someone could get to him.
-
Here, not fucking warm! Its like 38F but the moisture will kill ya!!!Desert cold, that is a different story. Below freezing and you can deal, because your not getting wet at the same time!Come on out, I'll light a fire outside for ya, you can smoke and giggle all ya want.Just expect Lil'bit to be kicking ya...lolHer "daddy" is a pot head who has pissed his whole life away...INCLUDING hers...you realize, he left when she was 3mo old, because he got pissed over making a choice over $10 weed and $10 diapers.......
-
It isn't cheap. Not here either. I paid 2k to get a pine dropped JUST DROPPED, not even cut up... Ok, so it had a fatal lean going...but still.I got a hell of a workout bucking that one up, and splitting...yeah..some of it still sits.
-
between my weed and my kids, the kids come first, thers is not even a choice.the choice is between a new fishing pole or maybe a new box of ammoand the weed. if its 10 dollars worth I have friends who will give me that much for free. If Im buying its more like 200 dollars, not 10. keep in mind thats a years worth of weed for me, or nearly so, Im not high all the time, or even daily or weekly, unless IM camping :d, then you can prettymuch expect to wander into my camp or catch me hiking or fishing baked retarded.Redding isnt warm this time of year, but san diego is normally in teh 70s and if Im hitting cali, Im hitting so cal! and TJ, I LOVE TJ
-
Jesus! I had no idea it cost so much. I just asked him and he said it was Bradford Pair and that it was probably less than twenty feet tall.Hell for that kind of money I was thinking like seventy-five foot Oak or Birch or something huge. I'm glad all that shit missed my house.
-
2 fucking grand?jesus fuckIll cut em for 200 dollars if I dont have to top them or anything first to keep it from hitting shit on its way down, more for taller trees, more for bigger around and more for shit in bad places like close to the house or power lines.hauling off I do for cheap.20 bucks a load in my truck, that covers my gas, very little of labor and the dump fees. since its green shit I can dump it here for 3 dollars a load. Its ground up, shit added to it and sold as mulch.I shoudl be moving to redding if its 2 grand to have a tree dropped, fuck oh dear if I charged that Id nevr cut downa tree again, noone would hire me.
-
Well, we all know I am not a completely good girl. I just never got it, I don't smoke cause I don't enjoy it. A good beer, or what not, sure. Yet, other than the daily smoker, I can't bitch TOO much about pot.As far as it goes...I would head south if I could! Damn life..lolKids, school, man, job, bla bla bla...
-
To you too scotty. It was a leaner. Needed a fallers saw to get through it, HAD to be topped and half the root ball was showing. Not nice.THOUGH, for clean up, it would have cost more. For a pear tree...eek, that seems high. I mean, they are short, if it is already over, go rent a friggin saw for a half day, and get it cleaned up. I am watching a stupid pecan tree wobble, and uh, I can get out there with the little electric to deal with that. The gas saw would do better but I can't sharpen it with out a guide (ED hands) but I wouldn't hire ANYONE for this thing....I miss my huskey....28" bar, would do what ever I asked, and none of the safety bull that they have on em now.
-
My favorite saw is an Old Stihl 36" Bar, Id have to head toe shed totell ya teh HP and I have a nice attachment for the dremel tool that allows me to sharpen it fast and easy.the otehr two saws at 26 and 18 inch, none are electric, teh 26 is a huskavarna, the 18 is some off brand I picked up someplace.. wild thing? thast sounds familiar and maybe right. or rampage? I duno, it doesnt get used often, I take it camping with a double bladed axe, but raely sue it for anything like cutting down trees.IF you do it even once a year its cheaper to buy than rent a saw, and with buying it ya know how sharp it is and how its been taken care of.
-
LOL, I liked the Stihl, but, it wasn't mine. The huskey was mine...and it beat the shit out of the homelite that I had.(Though, those danged homelites were a great poormans saw!)IDK what I got on hand now, I just know it is little...I don't think they rent saws here...was just a thought. They seem to rent everything else. Also, I have the grinder for my dremmel too, but I can't hold a steady hand. LOL, I am one of those who, when the rakers needed cut down a bit, I would cut em off here and there might as well go buy a new chain!!! SOOO, could you imagine the angles I wold have going on the teeth!!!!!
-
well I have somethign different! I think it was like 10 ? 15 bucks? and I think i got it at home depot?too long ago to remember exactly. Its a guide that clips on teh saw chain and the dremel inserts into it and you simply move it to each tooth and grind it to fit.I can sharpen both sides of my 36" chain in about 10 minutes, and often have had to stop and use it in teh middle of a job. Sometimes 15 or 20 times during a job :P fucking chains dull fast. I normally end up buying a new chain about every job if its big shit, andabout every 3 or 4 jobs if its a smaller tree instead ofa huge bastard.pine trees really dull that bastard fast! my mom had a 40 foot pine out frint, the base was about 20 feet around and the trunk at about 3 feet across, it took me 2 days and maybe 8 sharpenings to get that bastard down and done, and that one I didnt even get paid for! unless ya count beer and dinner
