Obamas our man now?
He has always been my man. I voted for him in primaries and again last night. I was fucking happy as hell when cnn started saying he had won (according to predictions)
I was not totally happy till I got up today and the count was at 99% and still they said he won.
I think it speaks greatly about how far we have come, we elected a black man as our next president, who would of thought that possible just a year ago?
I finally feel like I might be able to pull my life together, like maybe the gov wont be trying to keep me down. Like I have a chance again.
My parents had JFK, I never had anyone. Iv been OK with past presidents, but never happy about them. I remember Ford, Carter,Reagan,Gerogie boy I, clintona nd georgie boy numero duffo, Now I finally feel as if i have a president.
My only hope is that noone puts a bullet in him before january 20th. Actually I hope noone does at all, but getting to that date to be sworn in is now my major concern.
I had training today, new certifactions on heavy equipment I am required to maintane ya know, so I got off work early, after last nights elections, I thought I should take a few to swing by A2A and say hi, and rub Obama in anyones face that has disagreed with me about him in the pastwhile we were awaiting this election
unfortunatly, I dont have time currently to make a2a a regular part of my life again, but I shall endever to stop by more often
Now I gots to look around, and maybe kick some people while they are down before leaving the site again :eyes: -
Jesus Christ, a voice from the fuckin' past.

i am pretty sure that a president who associates with a wider populus base than just old white christian males will do a fine job.

If he had chosen someone better, the race would have been really tight. That's ridiculous. Her being on the ticket brought back a lot of voters that were ready to bail on McCain. Can you show me anywhere any data or evidence to back your statement up?He lost because the Republicans have had a serious identity crises over the past few years, and because Republican politicians no longer resemble Republican voters. And the fact that the Democrats controlled the media in this campaign can't be ignored.

That might have been the case early on, but her exposure with time brought him down. Where is my proof? I don't have any.. Do YOU? Many opinions out there cite Palin as a liability towards the end.

Palin had a 12% approval rating nation wide.. I think that speaks for itself.

Well, you can go ahead and continue to believe(shall we say deluded?)that she was of any great benefit to him and the campaign. That's fine with me.
-
And you can go ahead and buy the line that she sank the ship if you want. That's all right by me.Leaves more time and energy to talk about how Snoopy would have pawned Obama on Tuesday.

_The Palin And Bush Factors:
There is evidence that Palin's presence on the Republican ticket has hurt McCain with some voters. Fourteen percent of Obama's supporters say they once supported McCain, and the top reason given for their switch was McCain's selection of Palin as his running mate.

It was quoted on on the station (believe it was msn/nbc) that was annoucing the night of the presidential election. It stated only about 12% of americans felt Palin had the experience to run as VP.And after re-reading what i said about, saying "approval rating" was probably not the most accurate thing to state, so sorry.
