ok so apparently the "full" version has just come out and im sure it wouldnt be a bright idea to download it right away with possible bugs and everything, but if it is good to go i have another problem, it says 65.mb to 427mb now whats that all about? because even the 65 would take probably most of the day (shitty dial-up) but 427 seems pretty much impossible.so whats with the dual numbers?

I stay far away from new OS's. least for a while. It took me 3 years and Julie telling me it was not a choice any more to swap from 98 SE to XP. Id stick far from vista for a year or more still. Julie does the shit for a living and I can t tell you enough how much she hates vistas current problems and how it affects her work and the problems it causes her. Dual numbers i dunno, my knowledge is limited. but I wonder HOW & WHERE you would down load a copy right protected new OS ?is it an upgrade from purchasing vista already? thats all that makes sense.and dial up urrrghhhh!holy hell I can DL (pending the source) 500 megs in a matter of 2 minutes
-
yes its an upgrade, vista came on the computer when i bought it and i actually havent had any problems with it so far im thinking the dual numbers represent a basic upgrade and a standalone download, respectively. as in if you already vista then its only 65megs but if you dont then its 427?as for the the other comment, you fucking shithead! only shit we can get out here is satellite delivered and that costs hundreds just to have installed
-
yeah that makes sense for the dual numbers.as for the rest what can I say my net puts cable and dls to shit.Add to that that its free, as julie works for the company..I used to pay 30 a month for slower service than I got now, but hell now I have top available speed for free.
-
i hate you, you stupid bastard! man i gotta find me a woman who works for a company like that.....whats the service actually called and how much does it generally cost?

This is what I read... Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) is an update to Windows Vista that addresses feedback from our customers. In addition to previously released updates, SP1 will contain changes focused on addressing specific reliability, performance, and compatibility issues; supporting new types of hardware; and adding support for several emerging standards. SP1 also will continue to make it easier for IT administrators to deploy and manage Windows Vista. Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Five Language Standalone version can be installed on systems with any of the following language versions: English (US), French, German, Japanese, or Spanish (Traditional). Quick DetailsFile Name: Windows6.0-KB936330-X86-wave0.exe Version: 936330 Knowledge Base (KB) Articles: KB936330 Date Published: 3/18/2008 Language: English Download Size: 434.5 MB Estimated Download Time: 17 hr 40 min 56K Dial-up (56K)DSL/Cable (256K)DSL/Cable (768K)T1 (1.5M) 17 hr 40 min More importantly further down it said... DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD IF YOU ARE UPDATING JUST ONE COMPUTER: A smaller, more appropriate download is available on Windows Update. The large file probably encompasses all possible configurations and options...The one through windows update only updates that which is appropriate for your configuration, thus is smaller..My kids have 2 laptops with Vista.. I haven't had any issues yet.

i clicked on install and apparently it will install the smaller bit. but im going to wait a few weeks til someone ELSE tries it and check feedback on it then just in case there are some major problems
-
it wont help you its a local company.there are others that offer the same shit in fact pepsi has the same service as me, but from someone else in california. I thik I may be better of not disclosing that info on the web, I dont knwo that it woudl get her into trouble or not? generally it was 30 a month for about 1/3 of the speed i have now, and if you bought my speed it would be at 69 a month if I remember right. maybe 68, I know its over 60 and under 70 though.they have:# Up to 10.2 Mbps Burst Speeds (Beats Cable, DSL, WiFi, and Satellite)# < 8ms over the air latency (ping time)# No Contract# Nothing to Buy# Lower Loading Factors# Higher System Throughputs# Around the Clock Tech Support# Local Employees Ensure Quick House Calls now it says 10 meg bursts, thst for the first 15 seconds of a DL, after that it drops to what you pay for, I however have top speed all the time.the equipment is made by http://www.wbmfg.com/Homego there and click on the distributors list. its a start to seeif its offered in your area.let see here...Residential 512Kbps $49.95 install fee $29.95 monthlyResidential 768Kbps $49.95 start up install fee $39.95 monthly feeResidential 1544Kbps $49.95 install start up... $59.95 monthlyOK I lied, its less than 60 a month.I had the service before julie worked for them, she started after we had them for about 2 years.there are hundreds of company's that sell this same service, that page just tells you if you ran one where to buy the products to set up the company.try looking for something like wireless internet in your state, or maybe radio internet. People think that its satellite but its radio.even before she worked for them we never had a problem that lasted longer than an day with connection, and that was a single time when the tower we are pointed at got hit by lightning. most our shit has been fixed with in minutes.
-
actually there is another solution...You could contact the people that make it and set up your own company, this guy started it in the 70s as a phone company in his basement, built it up to a multi million dollar business from a table and file cabinet in the basement of a rented house.Hes a stubborn bastard, but a good guy, knows all his employees by name and sight, all insurance is paid by the company at no cost to the employees, health vision and dental, plus vacation and all services offered for free in their homes.matter o fact soon they will be offering VOIP of thier own instead of just the connection to use one you choose, we get it for free, all we have to do is buy the equipment and can do that through a radio shack that the company owns (franchise radio shack) and that service is also free for us.they take care of their employees. they jsut opened up a new area to service, im rather hoping as shit changes I may be able to get on for them myself. He wont franchise, but he is willing to sell the shit to start your own. cost i have no idea, but it is possible, and in your area youd be the only fucking show in town...
-
yeah probably hundreds or thousands of dollars i aint got lol not to mention i dont know well anything about running a business let alone any sort of in-depth technical dealings
-
Vista sucks donkey dicks. There, that's all I had to say. I feel better.
-
thats what julie told me too! but it was a bit more descriptive than that, something about maggot infested orangutans twisted assholes....
