O.K. so for a long time, when I first started being extremely stressed out from life i learned how to control my body, like, uhhh its hard to describe. But...Well when i concentrate hard enough and am consistent with it, I can make almost any part of my body go numb, and I recently started testing out something new, slowing the rate of my heart. I've heard of veterans from world war 2 who had to learn how to do that, so there bodies wouldn't release so much heat, and also for when they were being tortured. I even heard that a couple of guys could get it to the point where there hearts would almost STOP completely. That I don't really know if its true cause it was just something a friend told me.Anyways, I was messing around last night, and I got my heart rate to about like 15-20 bpm... i didn't really count the whole minute cause it's hard to hold myself in that state for so long...I want to know a couple things, 1.) Why after I stopped concentrating, and kept going on with what I was doing normally, why was I like BOILING hot? i checked my temperature and it was around 102 degrees, I had some iced water and it lowered to 98.5.2.) Is is really possible to have that much control over your body to actually be able to slow your heart down to near 0 or actually 0?3.) Is what I'm doing something that has a technical term? If so what is it? I'm really intrigued about this, and I want to pursue this and learn more...P.S. I was counting my heart beats using one of those what are they called? The things the doctors have that they put on your chest/back, it has ear plugs, and then it has this little metal thing... well u know what I'm talking about...

Quote:I got my heart rate to about like 15-20 bpm... i didn't really count the whole minute cause it's hard to hold myself in that state for so long...I doubt you got it as low as in the teens. From what I read, the lowest recorded is 28 bpm. And that person was a professional athlete.Having a low rate means you're healthy but forcing your heart to have a low rate is something I wouldn't do. I don't think forcing your body to do something it can't is wise nor something you can keep up with forever. You're tying to pull a David Blaine. Quote:1.) Why after I stopped concentrating, and kept going on with what I was doing normally, why was I like BOILING hot? Because when your heart starts racing, your body heats up. It's a normal chain reaction. Quote:I was counting my heart beats using one of those what are they called? Stethoscope

I don't know exactly what it was, as I said I couldn't keep it up. But i know it was really slow i was getting about 1-2 beats per 2 seconds. And all I'm really doing is meditating, and focusing on nothing in the world, blocking everything else out. But I will take care in what I'm doing.I have another question, can I possibly die from doing this? Or are there any major health risks that im going to face?

I doubt you're a professional althlete or an endurance artist, so I wouldn't do it in the first place. I mean, what good reason do you have to do it in the first place? You may get Bradycardia (if you're not healthy) or even heart failure. Maybe even a heart attack. I'm no cardiologist though. But even I know that fucking around with your heart isn't the smartest thing to do.

About controlling your body. I watched a dude, completely heterosexually!, go from flacid to erect and then ejaculate purely thorough control. He didn't touch it and wasn't watching porn, so evidently i tried and i can't help but start to slightly thrust or tense myself. Can anyone here do it?
-
Wow, that was pointless.
-
Well to answer your second question, doing things like that is possible. My psychology professor can control the amount of blood that flows into random body parts. It's hard to do for most people but it is possible. Doesn't sound like something i'd be messing with too much though.

well the way that i figure it, is its a useful technique to know... i mean think about it...if i were abducted by adolf hitlers undead body, and he strapped me to a heart measurement machine, and was going to torture me till im dead, if i could control my heart rate, i could stop it, make him think im dead, he'll take it off, throw me out, and before he can burn me, ill run....its always good to prepare...lol but seriously, i just view life completely different then most people, i want to be to control myself during tense situations, and be able to slow the rate that my heart is beating, if i absolutely need to...and as far as profeshional athelete, that i am not... endurance master (only to piss u off virtual) maybe in the bed, yes... but for the most part no... i do work out, i also smoke, but all in all im a healthy horse ( ;-) )its just something that i want to try and figure out more things about it...oh and about the penis thing, i did that once. but only difference is that i have a pre-photographic memory, so i closed my eyes and played back porno clips, and times that i've had sex, and used that + control... so maybe i cheated :-P
-
Wow, you're so not funny. Quote:maybe in the bed, yesLOL! Okay maybe a little bit. We all have stress in our lives but to force your heart to a low heart rate to deal with it? Give me break. Try breathing exercises.

my man does that to make me laugh, although, he learned intense muscle and body control through rabbinic studies, of all things.

What's that I smell?Oh, it's bullshit.

Take this at face value, because I'm not going to pretend what I saw was not staged. however:Few weeks back I saw a thing on the TV with a guy who could do that, and he apparently "stopped" his heart, almost died, et cetera. Now lets think about a few things I do know:Brain needs oxygen.Blood gives oxygen.Heart moves blood. If you slow your heart, you slow your blood flow.Slow flow = less oxygen.less oxygen = bad for brain. Emotion stimulated hormones can vary your heart rate as well as physical health. I think my lowest BPM was ~ 50. I'd make sure that before you attempt to "pursue" this, you check your blood pressure while it's happening. To low and you'll pass out. You're looking for ~ 120/60. 180/90 is borderline High, and 100/50 is borderline Low.

thanks that was great advice... i kinda knew about the blood oxygen brain thing... but wasnt shure about it... now i know not to get myself as low as i can without some form of health people there... sry a lil tired and bad with vocabulary... plus i got my nephew over my left arm and he's asleep on my lap, and imma bouta pass out as well... so good night yall...
