The word 'critter' is a corruption of 'creature'. The word 'creature' fundamentally means 'created thing', and is still used in that general sense, as in "Willy Wonka is a creature of Roald Dahl's imagination". It is therefore inapt for God in the Christian/Jewish/Muslim sense, as Creator, not created.

What ever happened to CONSTRUCTIVE debates?

Unless you're describing God as the creation of man.

wow, look at you all making my point for meyou're so cuteI'm so proud

Quote:While he was full of info, he argued for the sake of arguing...not informing It takes two (or more) people to 'argue'. And after he left, the arguing continued.

And after he left, the arguing continued. And is usually attributed to a few individuals.. The tension on this board is significantly reduced without certain individuals.

I don't know why he can't come back. It's not my business anyway. I don't think it is just 'my' own experiences with him when there are several other people here that agree Steve contributed more than just arguments to A2A. And if I want to bring my own experiences with Steve into play, I would say I disagreed with about 80% of the things he said. I think we lost out on his knowledge when he left.
-
I can agree with that.
-
I used to love my arguments with Steve. It was damn good sport. As are my occasional tangles with Bob, Damien, Thor, etc.I miss dancing with the likes of "f22fighter" and "last". How fucking boring would any forum be if there was only consensus?

Well, then, why do we need to have an answer? Why can't we be like dogs and cats...just accept it (whatever it is we need an answer to) and move on?
-
the human mind marvels at mystery, it needs to find answers.some people do just move on,k god did it! thats good enough for them, I am not that way, I need answers to shit that doesnt even matter, if theres a problem I find a solution, or give up when Im beaten and bruised and cant take another hit and disappointment, or so far out of my fucking league that I could never solve it anyway.

Im 37, they are smooth and shiney, all teh same parents grandparents, heritage, everything. Some peopel have a drive and some dont, my drive is a curse, and a blessing at the same time. The biggest reason I stay in this shit hole instead of moving to where I want to be is because no one would take care of her if I left. you figure that shit out, and Ill work on why some humans need to know and some just accept shit as it is.

That one's easy. They got something you didn't, or the other way around.
As for why you're the only one helping your mom, genes probably play a part, with your experiences in life also making up a part of the reason. Where you the only one that did time with the military? They teach a sense of working together and watching out for each other that almost feels like a family, if they do their job well. Perhaps you've taken that with you after you left the service. Just a stab in the dark.
BTW, I think ALL young men need to do a couple years in the service at least for those very reasons (whether it's true for you or not).
-
actually I never did any time in the military, I did some time in prison though, my brother that has the least to do with her did several years in the air force though. I mean he calls and bitches and wants advice and help and shit, he just never does anything for her.We all grew up the same, same parents, same house, same genes, same divorce... I dont think any of your answers answer shit thor.about as good as answers as yes there is a god and thats why!I dont really expect any answers though, they were rhetorical questions was all.

Just not ones easy to find. As for genes, you all have different combinations in spite of having the same parents...which is why you still have your hair and your brothers don't. You all also have different experiences in life...could even be your mom favored you in some way over the others, who knows. But I thought you did demo work for the military? Oh well...

DoD, civilian, not military.
