What would make your phone sometimes hold a charge for 3 or 4 days while other times it won't hold the charge but for 8 or 10 hours, all things being equal... as in not talking on it using it or anything.
Anybody? Anybody?

I notice if has to keep searching for a signal it will drain your battery really fast. Also I heard if it's out in the cold too long it will also drain your battery (not sure if thats true, just what I heard)
If you have a Tri-mode phone(and most are) then it can depend on your connection.. there are a couple of digital modes and the old analog mode. If you are connected to a digital tower, then power consumption is very low. But if you are making a call to an Analog connection, then it really such the juice. This is one possibility..
I thought I read recently about the analog system being banned, no more analog ? seems it was on CNN when I read it, but cant find that article now, I could google it and find something I suppose, but Im far to lazy today and only at my computer part time.
Maybe you're right. IDK.. I thought the 1X was analog.. probably not. I do know that sometimes I don't have a strong signal and I get the 1X symbol on my phone instead of the EV/TX icon with the Signal quality bars..Maybe this helps: http://cellphoneforums.net/alt-cellular-verizon/t272541-ev-1x.html
Are you sure you charged it all the way? I've had electronics do strange things with the battery where it will tell me it's charged when it's not, and drain several times faster than normal to compensate.
