Sike!!! I'm lying, of course.Anyway, I'm just checking in to let you guys know that I'm not dead or anything. I usually read maybe 3-4 times a week, so I've been keeping up (Abi--please send me a PM!). What's new? I'm still employed as a reporter for a local newspaper. The job is going fine. I won an award recently. I won first place in our division for education coverage for the Georgia Associated Press Association. It's a big deal. My boss was pretty excited about it, so I guess it's kinda cool. That's all that's new with me. I'm still taking the Lexapro and it's still making me very drowsy. I'm having frequent stomach pains, which I think it's caused by my ulcer. My mom is having serious memory problems--she's having trouble remembering to do things and remembering the names of things (according to my sisters). We are trying to get her to make a doctor's appointment to see what's wrong. She's yet to do it, so we'll see how that goes. Wow...that last paragraph was really depressing. LOL. Sorry!

Congrats on your award!

Congratulations, that's a great achievement!Your mother's memory loss sounds like some form of dementia, which isn't good news. But I bet she's proud of her daughter!

Congratulations.....on the award of course!

I'm glad to know your still around. I just wish you had more time to hang out. Sorry about your mom. I think, there are some drugs that help with memory problems. But all they do is slow the onset of full on dementia though. I don't really now anything about 'em and have no idea how they work. I just overheard some doctors discussing 'em when granny was in the hospital one time, several years ago. On a happier note congrats on the award.
