wow, i haven't been here in a while.but i really had nowhere else to turn?=(see theres this girl, that i go to uni with. and she told me she liked me the other day. i don't really have the same feelings for her? not to the extent she does for me anyway.. but i'd really like to give it a shot. and i would..but the problem is, that at one point or another, 5 of my close friends have all really wanted to get with her. and she's turned down every one of them. a few of them still actually have a thing for her. so ive done the more honorable thing and i told her that i couldn't get with her in any way, coz i'd more or less have lost 5 friends. they'd completely hate me..(mind you, im a pretty ugly guy. (yeah ive come to terms with it) and its like once in 10 years that a girl who likes me comes along?)last night i was messaging her, coz im trying to make it that it wont be weird when we see eachother on monday with all our friends and stuff. and she was so depressed about it. honestly, it drives me crazy that she's so upset. i hate it! she just seems to say "whatever, i know you don't want to be with me." everytime i try to cheer her up? its killing me!so i guess my questions are..-have i done the right thing?-should i have chosen the girl over my friends?-does anyone have any advice at all?

Friends or girl?

Dude, it's not like she dated five of your friends. They'll get over it. If you like her, go out with her.Edit: Here's another thing to think about. Five of you friends like her at once stage, do you think any of them cared about what the other four though when they were trying for her? Do you think if she'd actually like one of them they'd have said no?

A) why would they hate you for dating her?? Because they can't have her?? You're in college...they'll get over it.B) if you don't like her like "that" why even TRY? Because she's putting herself out there for you?? Doesn't sound like a good foundation of a relationship. your questions:1) Only you can answer that. If you're happy with your decision, then yes. You did the right thing. 2) Bros. before...well, you know the saying 3) Scroll up.

I was in a similar situation like you. I had 2 other friends who were gunning for another chick I was interested in. Although, she was interested in friend 1. But me and friend 2 knew it wouldn't work between em.
So I waited until they broke up and I was gonna ask her out, but out of the blue her and friend 2 decided to start going out. This is like, less than a week or 2 after her and friend 1 broke up.
Needless to say I wasn't too happy. I prefer to wait on something like that, to be sure the chick is REALLY over the last guy, like wait a couple months. But friend 2 got there before I did.
BUT, lucky me though I accepted later that she wasn't for me.
Now I've moved on. -
as my guy friends would say "bros before hoes" as harsh as that sounds I highly agreeeven though I'm a girl, I would never let anything come between my girls and I. we're like sisters and I love them to death. I don't care how good he looks. I wouldn't jeopardize my friendship with my friends for him. Just like this one guy who went out with both of my best friends and I found him very unattractive because of that. And he had the nerve to ask me out. I thought he lost his mind for a second there. In which case, I think you made the perfect choice. She needs to get over herself and move on. You will get yourself a beautiful, sweet, smart, and NOT whiny girl. Don't worry about it.
