I just recently found out about a new documentary called House Of Numbers and I am sickened. Its a piece of AIDS-denialist propoganda. Its a disgusting movie that not only tries to sell the idea that AIDS isn't dangerous, but that it doesn't even exist!Watch the trailer HERE.

House of Numbers

No worse that than the holocaust deniers.
Anyone with a brain and above a first grade education can see its a crock of shit. -
gotta love a conspiracy! We can look at it for the shit that it is but if that documatary inspires one person's sense of condom-free invincibility, they have done a major disservice to societyNow, I just watched the trailer which shows people on both sides. I'd have to see the whole thing to understand the final conclusions.

Its scary what people believe!! I was out two weekends ago at a bar and over hear some guy talking to his buddy how AIDS is only a homosexual disease and how straight people couldn't get it. I was shocked how this day and age how people can believe these stupid "truths" about something as important as AIDS. And people say we don't need better sex education in this country?? yeah please..

Not to be discriminative, but how can Canada and the US, two countries who share borders be SO different. Honestly I'm not saying we don't have ignorant people, but its NOT to this extent. -
Problem is in this country there are extreme conservatives who wish to leave people in the dark and feel its "crossing boundries" if we teach sex education. Problem is we end up with issues like I shown in my post above that people are ignorant to potentially deadly STD's. Also, you can look in some of the other forums on this site and see where people are just clueless. It's frightening, but yet people seem to fight against Sex Education.

Seriously??? Considering AIDS is a SEXUALLY transmitted disease, its a sex education issue. There are still many people who have absolutely no ideo hows its contracted. So yes Thor, its a Sex Education issue.

I disagree...especially since sex is only one of several ways you can aquire AIDS.

Agree or disgaree.. it doesn't change the fact that the leading contractor of HIV/AIDS is sexual intercourse, thus its a sex education issue. The more we teach PROPER sex education the better chance we have of decreasing the spread of the disease.

I believe that learning and understanding AIDS should start in the classroom when kids are learning about sex education and health. It's all inter mingled....if you're old enough the jack off or finger yourself and explore your sexuality, you should be taught about AIDS and any other kinds of communicable diseases...

Unfortunately, this age varies greatly...so a decision as to when this should be taught should be left up to the parents...not the school board, and certainly not homosexual activists who are interested in exposing children to sex before it's appropriate for the sake of furthering their agenda. But this is an old argument, so that's all I'm going to say about that.

At what age do you feel you should have the talk about sex and AIDS? Do you think that they will remember everything in your little awkward little chat about sex and AIDS? I know for a fact most parents don't like talking to their kids about sex and kids definitely don't want to open up and talk to their parents about it... So good luck with that.. Personally, I did talk to my kids about it. On my own and after they started learning about it in health/sex ed. I think it helped a little but for the most part.... kids believe what other kids say or tell them way before they listen to what their parents say...

But this is an old argument, so that's all I'm going to say about that. Problem is a lot of parents don't talk to their children, so who teaches the other kids about sex? Their peers? Well, we all know how well THAT turns out. Kids need REAL factual education when it comes to sex and STD's.And who in the hell said anything about homosexuals in this thread you arrogant bigot? I am so tired of you attacking homosexuals, it's getting to the point of ridiculous, and you call yourself a Christian? This has nothing to do about homosexuals, it has to do with teaching proper sex education.
-
Eddie, just when the fuck are you going to learn that EVERYTHING has to do with those fucking fags fucking up our children and destroying this great christian country, least wise when it comes to thor it does.I especially like the way he can write homosexual and it still reads fag.

Find out for yourself what they're doing on campus at elementary schools in various locations across the nation, and you'll have your answer.

Oh come on, Chance! You weren't expecting to get a REAL answer now were you?? lol

I gave up on actual conversations and arguments that presented evidence and furthered ideas or let anyone on either side gleam any understanding, I gave up the hope for those things when ever I talk to thor.
Rational arguments and facts do not work with him, because if he was rational, we wouldnt be having the argument over and over and over again to begin with.
And now, I would like to dedicate a song to thor:
The song is original to the Sleaze Sisters, the clip is from a movie titled Times Square.

Long long ago in my childhood, this movie was my introduction to the Ramones.
