I have an excercise bike (A Delta Jupiter) but I don't have a normal bike - I do around 30 mins every day on the bike for cardio, but is there a difference between this and a normal bicycle? Whenever I ride one I feel it's more straining on an excercise bike - Is this just me, or is it different?

Natural biking is better than cardio bikes becuase riding on different types of terrain causes more stress on the body and forces it to use more energy. One example that comes to mind is that you really dont need to use your hands on a cardio bike. On a real bike you have to turn curves and balance your weight, etc etc.There's nothing wrong with the cardio bikes, but 30 minutes probably is less than what you need to be doin. I know 300 pound guys that can last that long a cardio bike. 30 minutes is better than nothing, but you could probably safetly double that time.
