From his expression, it looks like he has unexpectedly got a man.

Stabbing and Beheading on Greyhound
-
(not to you steph xx)You guys all realize that you're cracking jokes in a thread about a young man who was just decapitated on a bus.. right?
-
Sorry, you are right.
-
Thx ash. I was getting pretty offended. That's really disrespectful.. I take this topic very seriously.
-
I searched his name earlier. and found his myspace page. its heartbreaking. he was such a good looking guy, and so nice. i saw a video of him on facebook singing happy birthday to a little girl. i cried. for some reason this topic really upsets me. and tonight i saw that there was a bunch of posts made to this thread, and i thought it would be something other than jokes. i cannot imagine witnessing his murder. i think i would really be fucked afterwards. emotionally. i get this empty feeling reading about him. and this bastard who killed him, will probably only get sent to a fucking physc ward because hes mentally unstable (in my opinion. they're doing an assessment on him soon i believe). the fucker. im hoping to god he gets what he deserves.
-
I do feel bad over what happened, but how many people who feel bad about this feel as bad about the well over 100,000 civilians that have died in Iraq, and who continue to die? Many of their deaths are no less brutal.
-
Maybe no harm was meant. but theres a time and a place. and here wasnt it. i didnt castrate anyone. i just stated how i felt
-
The war on Iraq has absolutely nothing to do with this Topic. What was the relevance of that? I hope no one would joke about stuff in a forum about the war on Iraq either.
-
i agree. this isnt iraq. im pretty sure murder and shit over there is more expected than compared to a man sleeping on a bus with headphones on.
-
You completely missed the point. He meant that if you're going to feel bad enough about this to make a thread, then why not made threads for every single death in the news, not just local but international that are just as brutal. It's terrible what happened, but it's the cruelity of life.
-
Life is cruel, and he's going to be with God. I'M sure it's all for the best. The issue, sheeple, is how easily we're manipulated, and how easily our emotions are played. The murdered guy's case is a sad one, but if he had just gotten a brief mention in the paper, people would have thought it was gross, and that would be the end of it. If he had been the victim of an industrial accident rather than a spectacular murder, his death would not have left a ripple.
-
Sorry about that. Didn't mean to be disrespectful. It reminds me of the post I made looking for help about the skinheads and you guys started making sexual jokes... just saying.

You mean it's not so bad when a kid living in a house in a country that was invaded gets his organs shredded by a bomb, because it's more expected? How about in countries where people are routinely killed for various reasons. Should it make you feel less bad because it's more expected than it is in Canada? The point is, you are being manipulated. Understand that. Deal with it.
-
oh my god. why do you keep picking apart peoples posts?just leave it be. regardless of whats happening over there in iraq, this happened in CANADA. so lets just keep this thread on topic. yes? im sure we can also make a topic regarding all those who lost their lives in iraq, and i wouldnt appreciate anyone cracking jokes in that one either.
-
I'm not arguing the solemnity. I'm arguing the manipulation, and the predictability of people. I'm saying that what happened to the guy on the bus is very sad, and I'm grossed out by it, but I don't know him, and I don't feel worse for him than for the countless people who die violent deaths every day.In most big cities in the U.S., kids get shot and killed regularly. I wonder if anyone cares. Perhaps not, if the media doesn't pay attention.
-
sigh... edit: Quote:In most big cities in the U.S., kids get shot and killed regularly. I wonder if anyone cares. Perhaps not, if the media doesn't pay attention. Is it possible that I love you right now?

When was the last time you heard about somebody getting brutally murdered on a greyhound bus in CANADA? How about somebody getting stabbed repeatedly in the neck.. now how about somebody getting their head completely chopped off.. and THEN having the person eat parts of the head.. AND body.
Hmmm.. I probably wouldn't make jokes in a thread like that.. but hey.. thats just me.

Quote:More expected? Things like these don't happen in Canada all that often.. The only murders I can think of that were equal or maybe worse were the Mahaffey/French murders. Quote: you are being manipulated.feel free to explain that point.. because I sure don't get it.

I noticed that too. :)... Ohhh us Canadians who really don't care that much anymoe.
