I often Find that i get angry at people for simple slights. When people ask me questions in the morning, or when people double check things with me i get annoyed and angry. It only happens with my family. I feel like i need to hit somethign or break something. Is it a byproduct of to often being annoyed, or could is be a repressed issue. i have never acted on the instinct for anythign less than physical assault. am in need of help, or is it more or less natural?

We tend to react strongest when something hits a raw nerve. It may be just that it has happened so many times that we get very sensitive to it; or it may be a repressed issue, as you suggest.For example, you may feel angry when members of your family double check things with you because you feel they don't trust you, and this may be a sensitive issue for you for some particular reason.I think such things are common and more or less natural, but it can be helpful to explore the reasons why you react as you do.
