Best friendships
-
from a young age.
-
well, for example, if I start talking again to an old friend of mine that I became friends with back in elementary, you think the friendship can go from a standstill to moving again?
-
definitely, I've done that at least 3 or 4 times this summer.
-
I have best friends that I only met two years ago.
-
I think best friends come about when you discover you get on really well with each other and have interests in common. It doesn't have to be from a long time ago, though that can help you be comfortable with each other.
-
well it depends on what your standards are.
-
It does not have to be from young a good friendship can be formed at anytime in your life. Also if you and your friends grew apart and now you guys are hanging out again then the friendship can go back to normal, you guys just have to catch up on what you missed out on in each other`s life.
-
what? what standards?
-
your trust levels, your patience, etc.
Some people can trust easier and decide to become the best of friends, other are more cautious until the person earns it.
-
ok gotcha

Quote:Sometimes it can be Quality over Quantity! I'd say it always is. I'd much rather have a few great friends than have a whole bunch of people that you don't feel as though you can talk to them or trust them fully. That's just me though, and may be different for other people.

I think they were referring to the quality of the friendship as opposed to how long they had been friends.
