http://www.bobbarr2008.com/press/press-r...n-texas-ballot/According to the article, unless Texas breaks a law or two, Barr is going to be the only presidential candidate on the ballot. I wonder how the Texans will react to this...

Bob Barr only candidate on Texas ballot
-
Why in the world would they have that deadline before the conventions?!?
-
Dunno. A few things seem...off about this. How both parties managed to forget putting in their names for Texas is beyond me, but at the same time, I don't see why Barr would be lying.
-
I don't know that I would say they forgot. You have to have an official nominee before you put it on the ballot. You don't get your "official" nominee until the conventions.Yeah, I agree. They will be on the ballot.
-
Actually, they didn't technically forget, apparently Texas changed it's law in 2005, the deadline for putting in your name as a candidate, whatever you call it, is 10 days before everyone else. That's probably why...

I do agree though, the major parties give the minor parties the shaft at any given possibility. I think it would be fair that they not get "special Treatment".it isn't like people didn't know the candidates anyway. They could have at least staged a write in.
