So i have a horrible case of insomnia. Ive had it forever and it seems to get worse. I cannot fall asleep on my own unless i go to bed at 6am which obviously doesnt work out too good for a College Student....or anyone. I try to lay in bed around 11pm and fall asleep but i cant. I used to take Tylenol PM which used to work for me then it stopped. Im now taking Simply Sleep which is the same thing minus the pain killer and it kind of helps but what it does is make me tired (but i cant fall asleep) then it gives me RLS and it makes it harder to fall asleep then finally it kicks in and i fall asleep after 2 hours.
Ive tried Ambien twice and its made me hallucinate twice. Yes that is one of the horrible side effects from Ambien, the first time i talked to curtains that i thought were on my wall that were never there, and the second time (2 days ago) i turned into a pong ball and was bouncing off of everything and it made me want to throw up (this was after i thought i was in the audience of a tv show i was watching) and then i completely blacked out.
So now i dont know what to do or take to fall asleep. People say marijuana helps you fall asleep and it can be prescribed for insomnia, but ive smoked weed plenty of times and while sometimes (rarely) it does make me tired, i could never sleep on it because im too tripped out to want to go to sleep. Plus i dont want to smoke weed, i like being sober.
So now i feel im running out of options, anyone have any advice?
