Okay so I decided to surprise the new guy and show up unexpectedly with dinner. I thought it would be a nice surprise for him since he'd been at work all day. I thought he'd enjoy company and free dinner but noooooo. He gets pissed off at me for showing up unannounced and hasn't talked to me in 6 days. WTF? Is he hiding something that I should know about? I mean, really, what's the big deal? And why is he so pissed off and for this length of time? I just don't get it. What's his problem?

What the hell is his problem??
-
if hes gonna flip like dat then u should juss let him go!

Some men just like to have everything planned in advance. Change, even pleasant change, can be unsettling to a man who has just looked forward to a nice predictable evening of unwinding.Of course, there is the possibility that he was planning on going out to dinner with girlfriend number 2.

PMS.

So what do I do now? Where do I go from here? Do I just let him have his little temper tantrum and give him his space and let him call me? Do I blow it off? Or do I fold and walk away with what I have left?
-
I'd leave him and move on. I can understand someone getting upset over it (well not really) but after a day or so I'd expect him to contact you...it's been 6 days, it's not worth it.

go fishing...

Fishing actually doesn't sound bad....

Amanda is dead on. It's fine for somebody not to like surprises, but for them to get angry at you for a thoughtful gesture is a bad sign. Plus, people should never hold such long grudges for such minor things.

I hear that and here's an update for you all.I went over there Sunday (yesterday) to get my stuff. I told him where it was and he went to get it. When he got back I asked why he was so angry and he says..and I QUOTE, "I'm sorry." Then he shut the door. That was kinda wierd. Anyhow, so yeah that's a done deal. I'm pretty much at the point where I strongly dislike boys... >: ( GRRRRRRrrrrrrrrr!!! >: (

You're much better of without that guy. It’s good that you found out how weird he was before you two got serious. Anyway, we men are not all that horrible. Better luck in the future, Cenfath

Weellll....I think I made a boo boo. Anyhow, if my hunch is right I'll let ya'll know and if it's not..I'll still let you know. lol Let's just say I gained a little bit of insight from a good friend of mine. And as of right now, I'm gonna let him blow off some steam for a while. My friend explained it as maybe we weren't far enough along for me to just be showing up (even with dinner). So, I'll be on my guard and watch out for him.
