Abi, your ranting is welcome here. I hope my questions are.I'm a Republican. (duh...)Do you hate me?Do you think I'm racist?Do you think the reason I dislike Obama is because he's black?Wouldn't it be just as easy to say that I hate all Democrats because they're sexist and the only reason they won't vote for McCain is because his running mate is a woman?Or should I just chalk it up to you having a rough week?

"Kill him"??

You are one of the VERY VERY few.Every republican I've encountered thus far has mentioned McCain being a Christian. That he's the best there is. Worshipping the very ground he walks on. Deja vu? Said the most degrading and disgusting and racist things about Obama including about his supporters. These are "Christians" mind you. I didn't even say who I was supporting McCain or Obama. I'm not a republican or a democrat. But the stupid McCain worshippers are putting me WAY off and I'm sick of it. Bunch of shallow little buggarts. If this is how people really are imagine when he gets into office. Might as well throw us back 200 years it'll be the same thing.America just... sucks. Majorly. I hope McCain becomes President. I don't care. I'm not voting anyway. Politics reveal people's ugly side. I've broken friendships in the past few weeks. I hope this love affair with McCain and Palin was worth it.What pisses me off that it's so hard to believe that somebody would claim to kill Obama is that people in my school have said that NUMEROUS times but on harsher terms. But it's just my imagination. Running away with me. Oh it's just my imaginaaaation. Runnnning awaaaayyy with me.I need an ice cream. Made by the JAPANESE.

I haven't seen anyone else come on here and state that they CAN hear it.Are you aluding that becasue I CAN'T hear it, that I am aginst Obama and a racist?

I didn't hear them. But I was making a larger point, that this is not about whether one person said that at one rally. Did you read the article I linked? And watch the video?
"The pattern springs forth in the form of a taunt, usually shouted and received with cheers or a sly wink. In the past week alone, McCain/Palin supporters have released their pent-up anger at Barack Obama with cries of "terrorist!" "treason!" "kill him!" and "off with his head!" -- among others."
I was trying to say that regardless of whether Abi heard correctly or not, there is a frightening trend developing as a result of these McCain/Palin tactics.

You have GOT to be kidding me.I'm out before I lose it.Way to be COMPLETELY irrelevant. In fact, if you have a problem with me just because of what OTHER people have said take it somewhere but don't start spewing crap that I never said.peace.

Tactics??? I'll bet there are just as many knuckleheads in the Obama camp as there are in the McCain camp...

What was all that partisan about my rhetoric do tell? You tend to see anything you don't care for as soley about being partisan. 2.) I always honestly ask what is behind charges and look at everything I can to try to learn the facts. There has been extensive reporting and investigation about these claims for the past year. It is known that Obama sat on a few boards with Ayres: that he had one social/political event at his house years ago: that they are not and were never partcularly close: and that he's criticized Ayers. Also, of course, Obama was 8 years old when Ayers did whatever he did. It is also known that Obama is not a Muslim, has never been to a Madrassa, etc. And you miss the point anyway. The burden of proof is on those who make the accusations. Nobody has substantiated any of this crap, and it's been disproven countless times. The frightening thing is the ability of people to believe what they want to believe regardless of any facts. 3.) Who is it that's "mindless" in regard to all this?

Yes demagoguery is inevitably part of elections. And yes there are knuckleheads everywhere. And I frankly have very mixed feelings that Obama's campaign has started to get down in the dirt in response to McCain's; in fact, I don't like it at all. Nonetheless: there are degrees and lines, and denying that just ends up as a form of nihilism in my view. The extreme claims- of terrorist, wanting the U.S. to lose a war, treasonous, etc. in my opinion cross a line that goes past routine demagoguery. Actually I find something very sad about this. I always thought McCain was somewhat better than standard republicans- more honest and reasonable. I always have had a certain degree of personal respect for him, though I've never bought into the idea that he's anything other than a doctrinaire conservative. Essentially he's turned into just one more slimey Roger Ailes/Karl Rove style republican with no ethical limits. I find it sad to watch what he is becoming; he was once better than that.

Seriously, has noone ever heard anyone make a statement to the effect that they want to kill George Bush? How is this even a noteworthy topic of discussion, let alone newsworthy? So MAYBE some guy said "kill him", well boo hoo arent those republicans just absolutely evil.

I can't tell whether you're saying that Ayers is actually relevant. Ayers, a man Obama worked with, as well as many other Republicans, to fight poverty within Chicago. What awful people they must have been! They helped fight poverty with a man who didn't have a good past but who had changed. Someone who received a "Citizen of the Year" in Chicago. If this is relevant, then what about that little clip with Palin and the witch doctor? I'd think that using a witch doctor would be worse than working with a man who had changed his old ways to become a very productive citizen. While not necessarily connected to this fact (I decided on it before I'd seen the clip), I had been fine with McCain becoming President until he selected Palin as his running mate.
Btw, I didn't hear the "kill him" remark after listening multiple times, though I recall reading something about the FBI looking into it or something of the sort.

You are apparently too delusional for me to have this conversation with.
Which is just as well...I'm finished with politics. I'll pray about it every day and then vote on election day. That's it.

i dont hear it.
