I've started a diet plan to try to help me stay on track. Because of my tight budget and lifestyle I usually eat one big meal per day. But i've come to find from many sources that it's better to eat often but just smaller portions. So I came up with this diet schedule. It's going to be a little hard to keep to it but I'm going to try my darndest.I generally get up about noon and go to bed around 2am or 3 am. Breakfast (after my morning jog)between 11:30 - 12:30 1 Slimfast optima shakeSnack (optional if i'm feeling hungry)1:30 - 2:301 Med sized red delicious apple w/ strawberry lowfat yogurtLunch 3:30 - 4:006 inch chicken breast sub with low fat sweet onion sauceor 1 small can of tuna fish w/ wheat crackers or breador 1 cup canned chili (very filling with low calorie intake though there is a lot of sodium)or 2 toasted cheese sandwiches These are just some things I happen to have laying around the house at the moment.Snack 6:30 - 8:001 med apple w/ low fat yogurt or 1 serving low fat yogurtDinner8:00 - 10:006 inch chicken breast sub w/ low fat sweet onion sauceor 1 small can of tuna w/ wheat crackers or breadWell that's it in a nutshell though it will highly depend on what I happen to buy in a certain week while grocery shopping. Is my meal / snack distribution ok as long as I have small portions?I'm also wondering if this diet will work. I'm up to about 200 pounds and thankfully i've seemed to have topped off there. I don't generally consume a lot of calories to begin with so I figured if I ate slightly less calories and spread out my eating it might help me not feel hungry so much. I haven't really exercised at all since I stopped working at my aunts farm and horse back riding so now to help me with my diet I'm going to be trying to go for a jog around my trailer park every morning when i wake up and before i go to bed. It takes me about 10 minutes to jog the whole distance so I'd say it's slightly less then a mile at my pace.I'm also giving up pop all together. Not even going to drink diet. I'm trying to drink as much water as I can. Any suggestions or additional resources to help me would be greatly appreciated. Also wondering when the best time to weigh myself is. I've been weighing myself when I first get up right after my morning pee.

That is a horribly restricted diet. I hope you don't plan on eating that every day and that's it's just an example of one day. Some tips;Try and mix what you have each day, eg. dinner; Tuesday - fish, Wednesday - steak, Thursday - Pork, etc.Eat a lot more vegetables. Steam a batch each night for dinner. You need a much, much bigger breakfast. Slim shakes are pretty bad IMO. Try porridge, muesli, toast etc. You need some good fats, you're getting hardly any. Peanut butter on toast in the morning, lean meat, nuts instead of the apple for a snack, etc. If worst comes to worst, buy some flaxseed oil and have a shot of that each day.Keep that up (and mix your exercise routine up a bit - don't do the same run every day) and you should looks weight a steady rate. Remember though, it takes a long time to do. Just don't give up.As for weighing yourself, don't do it every day, or every week, if you can help it. Your weight can change by several kilos a day, so looking at it from a day to day basis will achieve nothing but confusion, regardless of what time of day you look at it. Instead check it once a month, when sufficient time has passed for a noticeable difference to have occurred.
