What was the scariest movie you ever watched? For me like much of my generation I think the list would have to begin and end with The Exorcist... though The Amityville Horror scared the shit out of me for years. I take that back, The Amityville Horror was worse. I can still remember vividly my aunt describing the book to another woman. From that point on I was abasket case. What was the best scary movie?Though I haven't seen it since high school, I think, it would probably be Seven. At least I think it was Seven I was watching. Some of those days are a bit fuzzy.

I remember much about the movie, but I know The Amityville Horror is without a doubt the scariest book I've ever read.

I LOVE scaries movies! Sadly they just don't ake scary movies.. we... scary anymore. Some reason they think gorey equals scary and it just doesn't.My favorite scary movies all freaked me out for different reasons:The Ring -- Love movies that mess with the head. The Amityville HorrorSawPet CemetaryChildren of the Corn -- (I still won't go into cornfields lol)Nightmare on Elm St -- (Mainly because I was very young and it scared the shit out of me lol)Just some of the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

The Descent. That movie was soooooo fucked. I had to make my bf come home with me because I was terrified of walking from my car to my house (I live in the country and Im a pretty big scaredycat!!)Maybe it was just because I was stoned when I watched it.

I agree with what was mentioned above: gory does not equal scary. A few weeks back I sat down with a friend to watch 'The Hostel' part 2, which turned out to be an appaling gore-fest. Not that I completely condemn gore...but we were looking for scary stuff. My scariest movies: 1.Scream - I know, I know...but my babysitter showed it to me when I was around and about seven years old. I still look behind doors before walking into a dark room.2.The Vanishing - The 1988 version.3.I don't know the name - I'll just explain: so this old lady dies and places burn down leaving weird writing on the walls, and it's got something to do with her. That's all I remember. It doesn't sound like much but I couldn't sleep for weeks over that one. Any noise in the house would have had me running into my mother's room. I also watched this at a very young age. Possibly with the same babysitter...4.Something about a creepy clown that scared the bejasus out of me at (surprise, surprise) a young age. It might have been calles ''The Clown''.Also to clarify, I don't remember much about these movies. smiles

Seveni remeber parts of it too. the chase when the white dude got hit. the man in bed, the fat dude and the guy that had a knife tied to his dick. and at the end the guys wife's head is in the box? (haha i just gave it away - figured by now if someone was gonna see it, they have. )it wasn't really scary to me but just the thought of some of those things makes my stomich turn. It was about a murder killed in the maybe the most tortures ways for some one that commited one of the 7 sins (lust, gluntnay, pride, envy, wrath, sloth & greed). none have really scard me cuz i don't watch them. i've watched some that arn't gory like movies liek 7. don;t really bother me. when i was a little tho. i was scared to death of jaws. yes jaws. isn't that nuts? haha it's fucking helariouis now. i've seen snipits of pet semotary and it. and i slet in bed wiht my sister after just seeing a tiny part of it. like not even a part.. if my parents knew they were letting me watch tho - hell they;d flipped out if they knew they were watchign them. my parents never let us watch R movies.

I know it’s not a horror movie but Alexander just hit me hard. Made me sick for moths. I can’t watch some tv shows like law and order.
-
Horror movies don't really scare me. Amityville Horror scared me the first time but not since then. Only shows like Paranormal State freak me out.
-
I haven't seen it lol. Gee thanks for ruining it =P I'll just try and forget what you said.
-
The Blairwitch Project. This movie seems to be hit and miss, some people it doesn't do anything for, others it scares the shit out of. All I know is that last scene where the guy is standing in the corner scared the fing shit out of me.Then again I refuse to watch scary movies anymore. I don't see the enjoyment, there are many more feelings I'd rather experience than fear.
-
Oohh! forgot about "FINAL DESTINATION". Those movies really screwed me up for weeks, second guessing everything I did lol.
-
I remember watching the first one with the plane crash, that freaked me out for a while. I didn't see the second one, but the third one was kinda bad in my opinion - death on the sunbeds?
-
Me too. what year did that movie come out in??
-
Blairwitch didn't really scare me too much.. if anything it gave me a headache and motion sickness lol.

Same here. I didn't think it was scary at all but it made me sick as hell.

I don't know about scary but it made me laugh. How do I find this shit? And by all means don't miss the trailer.
