I'm female, 20 years old and I've got these bumps on the inner part of my thigh near the outer lips of my vagina. They're not on my genitalia at all but I only have these bumps close to the area. They itch occasionally and I notice I scratched at them and they have a little but of puss, not much, then they usually scab up and go away. I do shave down there and at first I thought they were from shaving but I haven't shaved in a week or so I still keep getting them. I've gotten one or two on my pelvic area but those have gone away after I put some neosporen on them and wore loose clothing to sleep and I haven't seen more for a while. My boyfriend also shaves but the days that we're both a little prickly and have sex irritate the bumps so I'm wondering if it's just skin irriation from neither us being clean shaven. I'm going to doctor soon but I'm still scared of them because I've never gotten them before and I don't know what they are. I'm not on any meds and I'm only allergic to cats and I've been with only my boyfriend for the past 4 months. Does anyone know what these are?

its nothing serious, when you shave very often and wear tight clothes esp underwear, these will occur. its a good thing you plan to see a doctor. i suggest you follow these simple steps so there wont be recurrence:exfoliate your outer pubic region(which you wanna shave) with a gentle face scrub cream or sponge and wash yourself wellapply a small amount of shaving cream or much better option any hair conditioner and shave. wash and dry completelyapply any after shave lotion or astringent or antibiotic solution and avoid wearing underwear or pants for few hoursdont shave too often. wait for hairs to grow a bit before you shave again and please try to use new shaver every time you shave or sterilize it before use.i hope this helps you.
