Ok. Thank god for this forum. This started for me in the summer. I got really itchy in my pubic region above my genitals. It was a rash but not really bad just itchy and red. I treated this with hydro cortisone cream. It seemed like it took forever to go away. When it healed there was one red scar that wont go away. Sometimes my penis and balls get very itchy as well. Lots of tingling. I have checked herpes and the pictures don't seem to match. Anyways it seems that now I am getting the odd red rash or round small bump in the same area of my pubic region.. I go through a lot of hydro cortisone which seems to keep it under control but keeps coming back every so often. Back in the summer just before this started I went to my doctor because I was urinating frequently so I thought I had an infection. He gave me some antibiotics and tested me for gonorrhea which came back negative. This did not solve the problem and it comes and goes. Recently about 1 week ago I started to have a slight pain at the base of my penis with some discomfort when I urinate. This since has passed now so i did not get it checked. The last thing is for the past year I have been suffering with headaches that come and go. I have had a lot of financial difficulties or the last year so I am hoping it is just stress. I also have had a dry cough for the last 1 month which comes and goes. Plus diarrhea that is not severe but comes and goes as well maybe once every month and sticks around for a few days then passes. The point I am trying to make is I have been experiencing a decline in my health and it really scares me. I am hoping like I said before it is just stress. Anyways I hope this forum can help me because I am scared shitless to go to the doctors now. What if this is HIV or AIDS?

hi mooris7 and welcome to a2aStress can case so many problems with our bodies, trust me, I get acne and I'm not a teen!! lolNow I'm thinking about pain at the base of you shaft, do you suffer from minor warts or skintags? Also, excessive/prolonged use of hydrocortisone isn't good for you. It (as I remember) causes a dependancy because the body allowas it to replace the natuaral steroids you produce. But, most importantly, please get to a clinic for a full test. On the rare chance that you really have a medical condition, they can get you help. On the more likely chance that you are suffing stress related maladies, it will drop a huge chunk of stress out of your life!take care

I don't suffer from minor warts but I looked up skintags which says they are harmless but I do have one on the left side of my stomach, on my lower left neck and one under each underarm. What are your thoughts? The slight pain at the base of my penis was gone after one week? Anyways really scared to go to the doctor. If I was diagnosed with AIDS or HIV I don't know what I would do??????

skintags are pretty natural and occure around the "moister" areas of the body.As far as getting tested, I know, I don't like it either. The things you should think of though; are you or your former partners in a high-risk group? would you rather be diagnosed and treated than undignosed and untreatd?most important and most likely... won't you feel better when you find out you are totally clean and you can move foraward in your life and avoid the mistakes that left you in this quandry?

Well I will maybe need to get the courage soon to get tested but anymore feedback on my symptoms would greatly be appreciated. Yes I have had unprotected sex in the past 3 times and I am 38 the rest was with condoms but who knows. Anyways thanks again!

Hydrocortisone only treats the symptoms of inflammation and not the cause, so it shouldn't usually be used as the primary treatment. I'd suggest trying an anti-fungal cream first. It could well be that stress is leaving you open to minor infections - it weakens your immune system. You may have a slight urinary tract infection - try drinking cranberry juice, and make sure you drink a reasonable amount of water. You'll probably find that when the stress eases your health improves. Try to do what you can to manage the stress, and reduce it as far as possible.

A lot of your symptoms seem unrelated and you seem more paranoid. However I had what was thought as a minor UTI and it passed by drinking lots of water, some of your side effects describe what I experienced.

I agree with Technical, you can also try Cranberry Juice, because that apparently helps a lot ... my gf had a UTI last year, and lots of cranberry sorted it out for her Also, I have a skintag under my arm, it worried me for ages, and it gets a lil bit bigger once in a while, but it doesn't cause me any issues, but even so... if ever there's a reason to doubt you should get yourself checked out!I had the full work up done late last year, and even though I didn't realise it, it was a huge weight off my shoulders, and by association I'm sure my gf's also, as it means we're both 100% clean of STI's, and in my case I also know all of my bodily funtion is good ... Still not allowed to give blood, because of a childhood illness, but if we discount that I'm 100% A okay MD

I had some skin tags and I went to the doctor and he cut them off. He said if you get anymore, just pull them tight with tweezers and cut them off.I also had one under my arm put and one in my groin. Used some of that Dr Scholl's "Freeze Away" and got the tag real cold and frozen them cut it off. It didn't hurt very much.My doctor said they were harmless unless they turn dark purple and are very very painful...Also dude... Suck it up and go get a phsycal You need to be in good health and if something is wrong... the longer yu wait the worst it gets.... Just go and fell better!!
