By HP, I'm presuming you mean the dreaded Hewlett Packard? ... in which case... you're one of the few that the restore works for!!!! At least you're lucky in that sense!!Anyway, as to your issue; I'm going to assume that you're running vista, otherwise you wouldn't have all the security tabs, so what you need to do is login using your administrative account, right click on the file in question and click properties. From here, click the security tab and you'll want to edit the settings and add in your newly created user account to have "full control" over the files.Failing this, there is an alternative option that I can think of: If you copy all of your old files, and paste them somewhere else on your drive for now, that should give you administrative control as they are copies of the original.I'm not 100% that the second method will work, as it might just replicate the permissions, and I have no way to test it, but given my experience, it should in theory work as the "copied" files are your new administrative user groups creation, which means you can then dispose of the originals in a manner you see fit and put the newly copied files where the originals came from, and voila! If this doesn't work, just post back... I'm sure there are a multitude of other workarounds I can think of If you need more help, please include what OS you're using, and variant if it is indeed Vista (eg: basic/home/ultimate)MD
