You have to be realistic.I am if nothign else a realist.Iknwo he can not undo all thats done and i know he can not fix everything in 8 years or 4 or let alone that first 100 day mark.if shit is stating to look betteer 3 years from now, I say he did his job, but here it is only 9 days in an how much has been done? most shit takes time, but he started on day 1.THe one thing I hate about Obama being president is that he is black.thats become the focal point, the first black president!I do not give a flying fuck what color he is! If you voted for him only because he is black...then maybe he shouldnt be president. I voted for him because he represents what I want, reflects and promises the change I want. His kin tone, like all other things in life, should have nothing to do with jack shit.

Soo... since Chance and Kristal

I just hope most have your good sense of reality. I'm afraid the bandwagoners I'll desert him pretty fast if they don't get everything they want. I hope I'm wrong.

I heard people bitching about his lack of action in early december. They could not fathom why he was elected in november but had done nothing as of yet! It made shit worse trying to explain he had no power, was not in fact the president, until 1-20-09.This is why I am scared, this more than anything worries me, I had these conversations with adults, some over 40 and 50 years of age, educated, fucking adults. My kids and even the 5 year old has a better grasp of it all than any of them did.

True dat, Chance. I think he was making a point to not appear like he was jumping the gun. He was very respectful during the transition, making sure people understood he wasn't president yet. There are people who will be pissed off if he hasn't done what they want him to do in the first month. But those people are obviously idiots. I'd rather see him take his time, think things through, get united support, and enact some policies that will have a lasting positive impact. Not just do some knee-jerk thing that will make a few idiots happy but will just be undone when the next guy comes along.
