Alright I need some help. I'm having major issues getting the love handles and the lower back "fat" to go away. I do cardio 5 days a week and of course abs workouts and they just won't go away. I’ve lost about 6 lbs of the 10-12lbs I gained since this past summer, and I just feel like the remaining weight is stuck around the love handle area.I know the love handles is one of the last places men seem to lose the weight, but at this point I don’t really have any fat to lose anywhere else lol. Anyone have any suggestions on some exercises I can do that will help target these areas?(Also my diet is good as well; its high protein low fat etc. I also don’t eat carbs after 5pm. So my diet is under control)

Love handles...

Alls I know is you can't spot reduce. Keep at what you're doing, and eventually you'll lose all over your body. However, it may be difficult to lose. Your body tells it where to put the fat, and it might just go there, who knows. Keep at what you're doing, and perhaps add some weights into your routine. Tone your whole body that way, eventually you'll see results. =)

Eddie, buddy, I hate to break it to you... you're a man. There are parts of our bodies that are out of our control. way back, me at 19, 130lbs, 29" waist... and LOVE HANDLES. Fortunatly, at the time, my hair covered them (yeah, it was that long lol)However, try this (if you dare)backwards situps. It's tricky to find the right furniture and a way to brace yourself. Picture yourself on the couch but completely upside down... face down on the floor, waist at the "knee point" of the seat, knees where one's ass would be and feet pointing back at what would be head level. in this position it would be easiest to be braced by someone sitting on you and start doing situpshope I explained that well enough

Your thirties are on their way... Ain't it grand.Keep up the work and don't stress about imperfections that are a part of aging and being male. Work to hold those crappy parts of aging off for as long as possible but that's about all you can do.You still look great. I would do ya in heart beat.

albeitmyself:Yeah sadly I do pretty much all of what you listed lol.. well except the ice skating, I'm not coordinated enough.. I'd end up breaking something or someone LoL ;). I do a lot of the side planks at the gym. Flea:Sorry I didn't make it clear hehe, I do more than just cardio. I lift weight in addition to cardio. I often do whatever target area I'm weight lifting that day (Example: Biceps, Back, and Shoulders) than I go do cardio for 30-45 minutes and than end with abs.Mr. U:Heck I'll give that a go, I'm pretty desperate at the moment lol. Last summer my love handles looked great, I was nice a lean. Now they are just being completely stubborn!! I'm starting to think love handles are the curse for men lol

Ugh... yeah I'm 1 1/2 years away from 30... the count down has begun! LoL I know I shouldn't stress about something as simple as love handles but grrrr.. it's like the last part in getting my lean body back from the summer lol.And I'd do you too!! LoL

I wouldnt worry about the 30's. Im 38 in a couple of months and I still have no love handles. Its no longer the six pack abs that I had year ago, but then I decided I can have a six pack or I can drink a six pack, I think I made the right choice.

Well Chance... aren't you lucky Actually I blame falling into the little depression I fell into when I came back from my vacation and eatting too much damned pizza. It's my own fault, now I just gotta work my ass... err. love handles off Or maybe I can just get Lypo.... hmmm.......

I prefer ...FUCKING...works the abs and lower back, and is cardio if done correctly.

"I prefer ...FUCKING..."I never would have guessed that..

The best thing is to not do anything involving your back or sides :PNo seriously, my back and sides have to be the most muscular part of my body and I don't do shit that actually does anything to them.Nowadays I mainly just do curls, lots and lots of curls. My friends say I do to many and it's worthless, but I can curl up to 65 maybe 70 pounds per arm now and they're still around 35, so for some reason I can't help but think I'm doing better then them

The only thing that I am doing different from last year (when I was able to burn off the love handles) is I switched from the tredmill to the elliptical.A personal trainer at the gym said you get a better cardio workout on the elliptical which is the only reason I switched from the tredmill... but now I am having second thoughts.

I've not had good look with an elliptical. Though that may be due to my lack of coordination. I just can't get going smooth on one. I have enough problem just staying in the middle of the treadmill. There's no scientific reasoning there, I've just had no luck with 'em.

Well that's another reason I have liked the elliptical is because my right knee isn't the best, but as long as I wear my little brace I'm usually pretty good.
Well guess starting today I'll switch over to the tredmill for a couple weeks and see if it makes any difference.

If I were you, I would focus on working out my back, shoulders, chest, abs, and upper thighs. The more muscle you have on those parts, the more it tightens the skin around your abdomen. While, you're at it, you might as well just do arms and lower legs and you have a full body workout.

I actually do all of that already :). I'm all about workin the whole body... just not sure why these love handles are being so stubborn!I did start doing the tredmill instead of the elliptical, I can deff tell i am getting a harder workout on the tredmill. So hopefully that's a good sign

Bummer. Not to be discouraging, but I saw a show (medical show) once upon a time where this guy could never get his love handles to go away. He ended up getting surgery after trying everything else.I bought one of those high quality elipticals. It seems like my butane muscles are strong... I mean buttox. Same thing, both flamable.

I will admit the elliptical gave me an amazing ass LoL... but sadly did nothing for the love handles.
-
Does the elliptical give a nice ass? Really?.........I am in great need for it cos I have a pretty flat looking behind .......any help guys on this matter?
-
I think so. I pretty much had no ass before using the elliptical, now after about 2 months of using it I have a nice booty going. Also leg pressing will help work the gluts as well, that's why a lot of weight lifters have such muscular behinds
