Ambitions of Alliterated Assistance
Michael E. Gonzalez
When I first read through the topics that John Adams provided for the final essay, I was hardly anticipating the writing. Till I came across a topic asking me to write about something that I feel passionate about, something that I really enjoy doing. A few thoughts came to mind, but none as consistently apparent as this.
The topic of discussion that I choose would be none other than music; it is my passion, my soul ambition, my life. I've come to terms with the demons in my past, known to me, only as struggles. I've gone head to head with faulty hardware; I've prevailed face to face with faulty programs. I've battled an onslaught of evil minions known only as distortions whilst recording. I've watched as each, one by one, fell to the unsheathed blade that I call "lyricism". Only few can prevail through all of these indecent conspiracies. Few can bow down and allow there soul to be over encumbered with passion.
Other than the fact that I love music for the sheer reason that I've fought so passionately for it, battling superfluous foes, I love music for the reason that I feel it's what I was born to do. I have worked diligently in offices, worked physically laboring in a hot truck with my grandfather, I've even had my own share of work in the streets. But none could equal the amount of happiness music has given me. It provided me with passion that at first I thought scarce, now when I'm lonely, music is still there, sheltering pain, as well as my submission, and I thought love could only be created between peace and revolutionists.
When I stand in front of a crowd, my world stands at a still. I stare at their excited faces seeing how they bend to my will. I realize that I could control a nation with a big enough mic, but the words spoken through them might end everyone's strife. Being an MC (Mic Controller, Master of Ceremonies, Etc.) has its own rules and regulations, similar to Jesus, the bible, and their own revelations. But when my life is completely over encumbered with stress, I grab my microphone, and record 3 verses.
See music is so versatile nearly all can do it, so long as passion is in your heart. Then its possibilities are endless, provided that you come to terms and understand what true Lyricism is. Then even you, yourself, could make revolutionary music. And as I close this essay, I hope that I left you wanting more. But anytime you must feed your need, turn on BET, look for me, artist name Gabriel Confucius, and prepare for what is in store.
