first of all im 16 a virgin and i have not even kissed a girl before. On the back of my penis shaft i have a weird red whitish bump. and like a week ago i had some weird bumps on my pubes. The bumps on my pubes are pretty hard to see and one night made it impossible for me to sleep because it gave me some tingley feeling for hours until the middle of the night but not the bump on my shaft since then like a week ago the pubic bumps are virtually gone(thank god) but the red whitish one on the back of my shaft is still there pretty much same size. I went to a doctor she asked me if I am sexually active I said no since its the truth she said it can be herpes which she said probly not since im not sexualy active or a sists. I have had a history of having sists in my inner thigh area so I honestly dont know what to do the bump might actually be a little smaller form before but tis still there but its never bothered me at all its just weird im scared guys

Im scared do i have herpes? IM SCARED HELP

Welcome to A2A, Scared. If you are a virgin, the chances of you picking up herpes is almost nil. The cyst sounds more reasonable. Did you doctor give you a recommended plan of action?

Welcome to the boards. I don't think you need to lose much sleep about it being herpes. Did the doc not say what else it might be or recommend anything?

Our bodies secrete sebum through the pores in our skin. It's a kind of oily waxy substance that normally helps to lubricate the skin. Occasionally a pore will plug and the sebum can't get out. Then it backs up deeper into the tissue forming a cyst. If it becomes infected, it will be red and sore forming what is commonly called a boil. The only way to get it out is by opening the cyst/boil and allowing the pus to drain. If it's severe, a doctor may have to lance it with a scalpel. The best way to prevent a problem is good hygiene. Washing with a terrycloth washcloth (quite common in the US) will help to remove shedding skin cells from your body and prevent one of them from clogging a pore.

That is the best suggestion for these problems. Many forget to take care of their skin in the genital region.
