I think THIS is great. Leonard Nimoy introduced a screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan for a group of fans in Austin, Texas but he switched the film with the new Star Trek movie.I'm trying to avoid any reviews of the movie cause they're always full of spoilers and I want to be surprised, good or bad. My first surprise was today when I found out that I'd won tickets to the Irish Premiere next Tuesday.

oh yeah
I totally have a nerd-on about this and I'm not even ashamed! -
I am SOOOOO PSYCHED about this movie. Karl Urban (my future husband) is in this movie! And the beautiful Zoe Saldana and the bad guy from Heroes...
total nerd.
I'm more excited about Transformers 2 though... just because I grew up with the comics, the cartoon, and the movies.

I was never a Star Trek fan but man this movie looks freaking gooood! I will definitely see it in theaters.

OH MY GOD!!!!!
It actually blew me away! I'd consider myself to be quite a harsh critic of movies and although there was one or two things that kinda nagged me a tiny tiny bit, this is without a doubt the best scifi film in many years.
I suggest that everyone go see it when it comes out.

Based on your review, I'd hazard a guess that Gene Rodenberry is rolling over in his grave.

Hmm, not sure really. Its very different from all of the other movies but in my opinion, there was never really a good Star Trek movie.Funny thing, I entered a few competitions to get tickets to this movie. I won the Premiere tickets on Facebook. I just got an email from another website saying that I've won another 2 tickets for an advanced screening next Tuesday. I'm in happy happy Star Trek land!!
