Hi,one of my friends from my work and I have been getting closer recently. We have been friends for about 8 months but over the last month we have been messaging each other constantly and seeing each other min once a week besides work. I dont really have many guy friends as I went to an all girl school and felt it crippled me. The thing is, he is my first guy friend who is single. I know that sound stranage but I have always found it easier to be friends with a guy who was dating someone cause I knew they werent talking to me because they were interested. I recently became single as well which has added a problem to me and my friend. I dont know how not to be flirtatious when someone is with me. My friend lets call him James, is really really friendly. At first I just thought it was him and thats how he acts with everyone, but there have been really obvious signs that he wants more. Eg leaning me against a car and motioning to kiss me. I have mentioned a guy that I was seeing to him but James still is showing these obvious signs that he wants a relationship even though I am only showing signs of friendship. I am concerned because I really do like him, he is a nice person and funny but I dont see him that way. I want to let him down easy but still keep this friendship which we have made. Is it possible?

Becoming better friends with a guy

lol so I am going to downsize it. How do guys and girls stay friends and only friends

Well, first, not to sound rude, but if he can't see that you obviously only want to be friends, then, he's got more on his mind than work ;)...But tell him that, then. Make your thoughts be known; even if it hurts him, tell him that you just don't like him that way, and you just want to be friends. Most of the time, that's all it'll take for us to back off, unless we're psychotic, and a sociopath... but I doubt that of James. But, just have a talk with him, and see where it goes.
