Long time no see. Internet's been down for 7 days, and it's still having problems, this connection might not even last very long! AT&T will, officially, be the bane of my existence, or I'll be the bane of theirs, one way or the other! So what'd I miss? I've gotta catch up on SEVERAL things now, on an intermittent connection that could time out at any minute! waahhhh.....e-mail, youtube, here, lifehacker, my two blogs I manage, check in with a couple of friends...omigod!.....Hope it stays fine for a while, once it's signed-and-sealed up and running, I'll be back.I'll be bach! mwuhahaha!!!

>>>"Omigod, it' just the internet!"
For some of us though this is the only conduit to many important relationships with people we genuinely care about.

Its not just the internet :frowning:
If I lost the webz I would be very very sad, because its one of the few ways I talk to my boyfriend while we're living apart over the summer.

so true!!! I feel the same way.And I noticed my buddy wasnt online for a week. I missed him!!!!!And Ive missed saya too.

kind of weird when you think about the change the internet has made in the world over the course of a few years. I don't even have a phone book anymore and I certainly don't read the paper. Also, the internet went from an information resource to a mass of completely interactive communities. They call that "web2.0". I hate that expression because it only refers to what the net was always intended to be.

I understand technology is over dominating old ways, but what the hell ever happened to just calling to chat or writing letters?I never have nor ever will understand why people get attacted to myspace, facebook, twitter, youtube, or whatever. Yeah, I know it's just how things are now and it's convenient and faster, but if the internet was cut off for just a day, it's funny how some folks will panic. And don't even get me started on cell phones that carry the internet! I don't know, I'm just one of those people who don't have that same connection.

Aye aye, I know, you don't need to have that discussion with me, the whole phone-thing, either. I missed here, most, though. That, and a few of my friends that I keep up with in FL and TX through e-mail. Other than that, I could probably live without having to be here all the time. Could do without blogs, YT etc. I'd check up here, e-mail, and that'd probably be about it. Missed you too, Star.
