I've been with my boyfriend for almost two years now. I had sex with someone other than my boyfriend about two weeks ago. We used a condom and there was no contact without one. A few nights later my boyfriend and i had sex and we don't usually use protection. Right now, after we have sex he says that he has a really bad burning sensation in the tip of his penis. This was last week. Now he says that he can feel a small bump on one of his testicles. I really just hope that it is something treatable and I am freaking out at the moment. Does anyone know what this could be. I have told my boyfriend about the guy by the way.

A burning sensation can indicate urethritis (which could be gonorrhoea or another form of urethritis, but gonorrhoea is usually blocked well by a condom) or a urinary tract infection (quite common as a result of sex, and doesn't indicate infidelity); but since it was just in the tip it could just be temporary irritation. A bump on the testicles is unlikely to be an STD, but obviously he should see his doctor.I think it's may be a psychological result of the loss of trust between you, but he should see a doctor to check it out.

oh my goodness thank you for easing my mind a little bit. I'm a bit of a hypochondriac. I've been checked about four times since I've been with him (almost two years) even though I never was with anyone in my life prior to that. I am getting checked tomorrow and hopefully if it is an std or whatever it's something that can be treated.

He should be checked too, since he has the symptoms.

Ya I know but he doesn't have health insurance. I get my family planning services through Planned Parenthood...so i think I'm going to have him go there as well. Also, an update on what's been going on: I'm starting to have a burning sensation when I pee, and I think I might be having a bit of discharge, but there is no odor to it..Hopefully, we both have yeast infections or something because I've had that before.
However, I was freaking out earlier because I'm getting a cold or something, and my tonsils are a bit swollen..and I don't know if that could be related to some other STD. Like I said..hypochondriac.

Just to let you and anyone else who read this know that it turned out to be a yeast infection. I had gotten it from some medication I had to take from having strep throat. I gave it to him from having sex. His symptoms have gone away with the help of fluconazole and monistat. Mine have yet to go away but then again I didn't stop eating yeast products so i'm going to take another one and see where that takes me.

It's good to hear that it's something as simple as that.

Yes i know but now I told him to go see a doctor because he's had something like a growth right above testicles inside his scrotum that's been there for a while so now he's kind of worrying about that. However, both of our yeast infections are gone thankfully.

He should indeed have that checked out. It's probably nothing, but the only way to be sure is to have a medical professional check it. It could be something serious.
