what did you guys think of the movie "Never Back Down."??

Never Back Down..the movie
-
A disgrace to MMA and i never saw it. All the teenie bopper, bro-mo bullshit shouldn't ever be in a MMA movie.
-
i was talking to the ppl that have seen it nt the ones that judge it before hand...
-
i judge as an mma fanatic, i dont need to see more than a 2 and a half minute clip to know how it is. Im giving you a point of view from someone who is involved in the sport, as far as a movie, it looks to be like most teen movies, macho guy, a hero, a hot chick, and the typical, guy ends up with girl after kicking macho guys ass ending.

true, true it is much like a teen movie, but you cant diss the mma in it. As a sister to a MMA fighter the fighting is pretty kick ass....and very realistic. Now... for the usual teen movie with the macho guy, the hero, and the hot chick....yeah it covers those bases damn well......

That's exactly what someone who's a teen (i.e., you) would say about a teenie bopper movie. I've never seen the movie myself. Didn't catch my interest. If you want to see a good teen fight movie with some real acting and heart, watch "The Karate Kid".

(why are the guys in these fairytales so hot but in life there not??? i hate it) anywho....the preview for the movie didnt catch my eye at all, but a friend of mine had the DVD and gave it to me and told me i had to watch it....so i did and yeah the story line is not anything special but the way they explain it all is really cool, the soundtracl is really cool too.......

Because in real life the athletes put alot of hard sweat, blood, and tears into their fighting careers. Its not about being the pretty boy hero, fighters fight for themselves, for their families, to prove themselves and push their selves to the limit. Its about respect and honor, not puffing out your chest and saving some hot chick. Thats why its like a fairytale because those airbrushed Hollywood pretty boys could never understand or push themselves to go through what us real fighters go through.

I started watching that movie and turned it off after the first 10 minutes.WHACK! to the max.
-
this nada to do with saving a hot chick, its about standing for hmself and proving himself just like u say fighters fight for..... watch the movie, then talk smack.
-
Except we dont do it in a parking garage circle pit or wherever their fighting lol, whatever man, i dont need to watch that whack ass movie to know its bs.

Quote:yeah yeah im just sayin the guys in the movie are really really hot. (why are the guys in these fairytales so hot but in life there not??? i hate it) Meh, I love me some eye candy myself but I don't watch movies because the guys are hot. I watch movies that seem interesting to me. And the only reason why these guys are hot is because they are paid to look pretty. It's called hollywood magic.Anywho, "Never Back Down" just seems so clichè. Let me guess...it's about a guy with a "troubled" past, perhaps mommy/daddy issues or went through a death in the family. So, he's violent and fights. He then meets the "bad guy" and is bullied by him. Of course, for some reason, the asshole bad guy has a "loving and pretty" girlfriend. The bad guy beats him up and the girl feels sorry for him, and oddly enough, falls in love with him. The "hero" trains, insert more teen drama here, the hero kicks the bad guy's ass, and wins the girl at the end.Ugh, just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I think about it. If I'm close to right about the plot, then there's no point in watching. It's just another teeny bopper movie that glorifies unrealistic beauty and unnecessary violence with zero character development and empty acting.
