I know it is always very gentleman like to walk a girl home, and I see no problem if she's not too far away. But let's say its a girl I like and her place is a bus ride away (albeit a short one). I don't mind taking the bus with her back, but I don't really want to come off as a "hey I'm desperately trying to win you over by being extraordinarily nice" kinda guy either.Should I always just say "Hey, I'll walk you back" or maybe just ask whether she would like me to walk her back, or would it depend on the time (like at midnight for sure I'd do it, but if its still bright out, it might be inappropriate)What do you think?

Appropriate to walk a girl home?

In my courting days the usual practice at night was to walk her to the bus stop and wait with her until she was safely on the bus. During the day doing the same would be gentlemanly, but not essential.

Well, it is very rarely inappropriate to walk a girl home. The only way it could be viewed as such is if one of the following is true:1. She's in a relationship.2. Her parents do not approve of you walking her home.3. She's shown that she's uncomfortable with you walking her home.Other than that, there's no reason not to if you want to and she wants you to. Most women view this as sweet. My husband, when we were just friends, rode my bus all the way to the other side of town to walk me home from school .. then walked 25 miles back to his house. It was so incredibly sweet that now, every time I'm mad at him, I just have to think of that day and it's all better. If you're really that kind of nice guy normally, don't stop because you're afraid of how it may look. do it anyways.^.^
