Good advice for the most part ...In a perfect world maybe...I was born and raised in California. Things aren't that good. When was the last time you walked thru the Silver Lake or Los Feliz districts or off the main drag in West Hollywood? What about South Central Los Angeles or even into Watts, Compton, Long Beach... What about the San Fernando Valley? There are hate crimes that are committed all over the place in LA. Yes, Most parts of Southern California or San Francisco are extremely Gay friendly but Hate crimes still happen. I can name a few towns or cities in California that are more redneck than some in Texas or Montana

I've never been but, I want to live in LA, San Deigo, or San Fransico. Some were gay freindly and close to an ocean.

it's beautiful and expensive. Beautiful weather, beautiful, healthy people but remember to keep your friends close and your enemies closer

You're talking about the same state that voted to ban gay marriage. And some of the oceans close to major cities are filthy for obvious reasons. But because the ocean is a nice view, it's also expensive. Originally Posted By: RocGood advice for the most part ...In a perfect world maybe...I was born and raised in California. Yes, we have communities that support gay rights, but crimes happen all the time, everywhere.Living in Los Angeles is NOTHING like you may have seen in movies or tv. LA is not glamorous, and is indeed mostly poor and ghetto. Areas outside the city (depending on which direction) are much more nicer and a bit less expensive to live. Remember, we are a very broke state and taxes are high.

To be honest I don't know were I want to go I'd like California, Florida, Hawaii (dream), or out of the country. I want to giro school for either marine biology or psycology.

That's cool, but the point is that no matter where you go, there's hate crimes and discrimination everywhere.
-
I know. I just want to move some were tharen are more than maybe 10 gay people.

New York City is one of the best if not THE best place for gays... no joke
But... welcome to the world of prejudice, discrimination, and senseless hate.
When I was staying with my family in South Carolina for a summer I was walking with my cousin Angie when a group of white guys in a truck screamed "nigg3r" and other offenses at us and threw a glass bottle that hit her in the back of the head and left her bleeding. People are disgusting....ly moronic. And it could have been much worse for you. Count your blessings  -
Yea we so have tansexuals around here but the one I know lives in Miami. And I know it could be worst
