I have these scabby spots behind both my ears. When I scape them with my nails (I know I shouldn't but I think I have a little OCD) it flakes off like a thin scab. It's flaky, and a grayish brown. I had the same type of flakes on my forehead at the edge of my hair line and also on my scalp if I put products on it or too much buildup. I think it might be a type of dermatitis, or cradle cap. I remember reading something about it on WebMD. Now, i also have the same problem on an area of my vagina. It's at the top were the two outer lips separate. I get the same type of flaky scabs. I been having this problem since sometime this summer. The ear problems I can't quite remember (I think I've had a light case before), but i think they were later. Any help on how to get rid of them?

Dermatitis

Flaking skin is often a sign of a fungal infection, so the first thing I would try on all these spots is some anti-fungal cream.

I've tried using some products that have antibacterial properties. I have body wash that has lavender oil as one of the main ingredients and I have a bottle of tea tree oil. The body wash isn't working. I don't think I have tried the tea tree on either locations.

Oh yeah, bacteria and fungi are different...

Perhaps, I get rashes or itchy skin from most mainstream soaps and products I put on my skin because there all kinds of stuff in them, especially fragrances. I hate strong scents.
