Yea, I used to come here a fair bit, with depression problems, but it started to improve but now it's all crashing down on me harder then before. I'm not confident with anything in life anymore. I don't hate school like most kids - I'm not confident with it. I just started grade 11 and I'm already worrying about failing my classes this year. I also don't feel confident with the way I look. I'm too shy still, so I don't do a whole lot socially, so I don't have the confidence to do more. Pretty much, for the past few years, I've had a lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem which has lead to me feeling severely depressed, and I no longer know where to turn.

Depression sucks, so does life.

Sounds normal to me. For one, this time a year just gets people down. With you being in 11th grade I'm going to assume you're almost an adult, most people don't know what direction they're going to take and don't believe in themselves.Anyone who thinks they got it figured out is just delusional and will end up more depressed than you are now. I wouldn't worry about it personally, just take life as it comes.

About the social confidence, remember that friendship has nothing to do with looks. Even relationships have very little to do with looks, as you can see by looking at couples around you.I think if you get more confidence with people you will probably also get more confidence with school.
