@Aisy: Thx for your reply and that might be it since I don't know how much I've grown recently.. it's always a possibility..@all: I'll ask my mom if she will go to the doctor with me but I'm home alone right now (which is why I'm able to be online, I'm actually grounded from the computer) ... I'll let you all know what happens...Today my knees started literally killing me around 10am (I guess since school started and I used my legs a lot more) and I could barely walk at all... it was horrible...It still hurts now but it's not that bad meaning I could still deal with it but I hope this doesn't hurt so much when walking around school every day...

Knees

Good luck with the doctors. In the meantime, some pain killers might actually take the edge off the pain. That was all that was recommended for me. Take care.
-
Only thing I have around is Aspirin... if I can find it...
-
As Aisy said; Growth pains.I suffered badly when I was younger with rapid growth spurts. If you can try using knee supports for a while and see if that helps, in a lot of cases it should. Ibroprofin, should also help and will ease any swelling that may/may not be occurring. (just remember to eat before you take it).

Fuck this whole shit, why do I even bother to even think about asking my parents something???? It never has done anything, why would it be the different this time?? I hate those fucking people... maybe if I just cut off my legs I wouldn't have any pain... or I guess I'll just have to live with it... like so many other pains and problems... I hate my life...
-
i used to get pains in my legs whenever i got dehydrated, maybe you should drink a glass of water
-
I doubt I've been dehydrated just about 24/7 for the last few years...
-
didn't you say they started around 3 or 4 o'clock and only when you've been climbing stairs or something?
-
Yah, well that was before I went back to school... in school I obviously do a lot more walking and shit and I have a gym class 1st period so that doesn't help the situation either... now they just hurt sometime during/after 1st period... it all sux but I guess I just gotta live with it...

I've had knee problems for years and I find that stretching first thing in a.m. and whenever I get the pain really helped me. If your muscles are tight, especially around the knee, they can pull it out of balance and cause pain. Knees are a funny joint, since we became bipedal, the old body had to adapt and the way our knees are, is not the most stable joint. Also, have you tried taking ibuprofen? It will help with pain or inflammation. Icing it for 15 minutes too can help with both of those too. Good luck.

I don't and can't get access to any medication, so no...
-
It's easy to get ibuprofen. It's just Advil. Go to the drugstore.
-
Obviously you didn't read the only line in my post, let me quote:In reply to:I don't and can't get access to any medication
-
Its impossible for you to get access to the drugstore? Have you already cut your legs off? Anyway, sorry for trying to help.
-
Would you like to make the 10-mile trip for me?
-
Heya, I think you've got a thing called "osgood schlatters" (cant spell it!?) which basically means that its growing pains. It's to do with the cartilage and the bone just behind and right under the kneecap. Does it hurt if you press gently under your kneecap? It can start any time really, but is most common in teenagers. It should stop/ ease off a bit when you are about 18ish, but can carry on into the 20's (or as long as you keep growing) You shouldn't do any high-impact sport where you have to run around alot, as this could make the pain worse for you. Take Ibuprofen, but check you are not allergic to any of the things in it. Ibuprofen helps to reduce swelling and is a fast painkiller. Sorry about the long post! x http://preteenagerstoday.com/resources/articles/kneepain.htm clicky!!!

oops and I just read the bit about the drugstore - if you cant get access to any ibuprofen, try doing gentle excercise, like walking or something! i had this problem for years but its stopped now (yay!) i had to wear a knee support for ages.
-
I was online doing research again about knees since mine have been acting up. I get the pain as well when walking up stairs and bending, etc...here is what I found (this is what I have)...read on...it might be of some help Chondromalacia
-
My son has that too. We went to see the doctor about a sore lump under his kneecap a few years ago. When he said "Well it seems that you have Osgood-Schlatters Disease", it scared the crap out of me until he explained what it was all about.
-
scared me too when the doctor told me! i had to go by myself when i was 12 i was like  :open_mouth: hehe
