I know this is weird because I'm responding years after this all happened. But when I take the time to think about George Bush and what he's "done for this country"... it infuriates me. Because it's not what he's done for but what he's done too this country. Not even acknowledging his dark history of power in Texas and how he treated minorities in the racist state that is Texas (he and Mayor Giuliani need a real nice kick in the ass), but... this man... did... NOTHING for America. And the people voted for him.. TWICE!!!! Like... I wasn't a fan of John Kerry but... damn. It's just... you had the war in Iraq and nobody ever sheds lights on the thousands of innocent people that were killed because Bush was so set on getting his damn revenge with his "weapons of mass destruction" agenda. Like... when I think about it, it upsets because he was so damn selfish. It's so easy to make these careless decisions when you're life is not on the line. When you're not the one hiding behind rifles and trying to avoid bombs. It pisses me off because so many young American men unnecessarily lost their lives. But most of all, so many Middle Eastern families were obliterated. Completely. Women and children raped and murdered mercilessly. Yet... no one shows these images. It disgusts me.. it angers me. And then you have New Orleans which Bush didn't do a DAMN THING. You didn't even see his stupid behind till MUCH LATER. I'm sorry is there only a certain part of America that he's concerned about? Did he forget that New Orleans was in fact a part of America? Or was he in a coma? Did his grandpa die? Where the heck was he? Why were more troops sent into New Orleans to manipulate the people rather than help? Why was the mass minority population of LA depicted as thieves and looters of this crisis and dehumanizing and criminalizing them rather than helping them? Yet still showing the privileged saints as victims? Why did the New Orleans ordeal last SO LONG without help. Most importantly why was Bush quicker to throw unaware troops into the Middle East than he was to send help to his "own people" right here at home? And people have the audacity to criticize Obama who hasn't even had a full year yet of being President? What the hell is wrong with America???I'm moving to New Zealand... sorry, rant over. I just watched a very politicized video recording of George Bush's "accomplishments" and instead of convincing me that you know he actually did some stuff... it did the exact opposite and I'm a bit enraged... but it's ok.... I'll get over it. No need to respond but feel free to criticize because there are many things I don't know and don't understand. I just feel personally affected because I did work in New Orleans a couple months after to help restore the broken down communities and give people their homes back. And one of my oldest brothers fought in Iraq and he lost many friends and is personally a bit traumatized from watching them blow up right before his eyes. It's just things like this that do more than just aggravate me, you know? I hate the way people are so quick to criticize everything about Obama from his beliefs to the color of his toenails but they don't even acknowledge the dummy we had in the White House for 8 FRIGGIN YEARS!

And I hate the way some people ignore the problems with the current president (the problem that is actually now at hand) and continue to dwell in a past none can do anything to change. Bush was not good...but Obama is on a whole new level of "corrupt" for a president of this country. He cares nothing for the people he's raking over the coals, and was even part of the cause of the problems (ACORN pushed for the Fannie-Mae/Freddie-Mac disaster) that allowed him to funnel money into the hands of bankers at the expense of the taxpayers; just before the taxpayers all started loosing thier jobs. Nice. And the CEO of Fannie-Mae even became his financial advisor shortly before all hell broke loose. Coincidence? Not in my book. So, when you speak of "stupid Americans", you can speak for yourself...especially if you voted for him.

Thor, I already know where you stand, and too many of your past comments to bob, chance, unsupervised, and eddie have shown just how prejudice you really are. deny it if you will but you are very prejudice. you never have anything to say about the corruptions left by Bush and how it's still effecting people today and will CONTINUE to effect them generations from now. (if you could even understand just exactly this effects generations to come). you didn't give Obama and chance since before he was even put in office.and I just turned 18. I couldn't vote. which doesn't really matter because I know sure as heck I wouldn't have voted for another Bush.Hillary was best in my book.

I don't see you slagging him. So from where I stand, you look biased against Bush...since this thread has ended up as a history lesson. It was what Bush DIDN'T do that I slight him for...much of which concerns things started by Clinton that Bush didn't put a stop to. The housing bubble disaster began with legislation under the Clinton administration...and Bush did nothing to put a stop to it. Then came Obama looking to drive the nails into the housing coffin, with ACORN in his back pocket all the way...and folks STILL voted him into office anyway. Yeah, I'll have to give it to you there...some Americans ARE stupid. What I don't understand is how somebody can slight Bush and give Obama a free pass when Obama has caused more trouble for this country and its people in the first six months (and prior) than Bush did for the entire eight years he was in office.Wait...actually that's not entirely true. I do have some pretty strong suspicions as to why some folks give Obama a free pass and a halo around his head. As for some of the others, Eddie thinks Obama will help push the gay agenda, and Chance has hopes of Obama helping to legalize dope. Real "for the good of the people" issues, eh? As for bob and unsup, they're both just liberal to a fault...but I think they both care what happens. Do you care what happens to folks other than yourself? I've got a good job...but there are a lot of folks out there hurting just because your hero decided to put his foot in it.

Gore and company (a bunch of liberals) think so...apparently if they get rich off of their lies, it's worth it to them. How about you? You probably won't even get rich by it...just help them get rich by buying into it. It's a shame...but there it is. Another uncomfortable truth.
